Robyn Blair Davidson has always "been an entrepreneur," but she had no idea that her business, by robynblair, would take off a few years ago.

It all started when the brunette beauty was working for artist Peter Tunney, who gave her some artwork and said, "When you have a piece of art in your home that you love, it can really change how you feel."

"You see it every day, and it makes you think differently, and it’s very special and so I did that. I hung it up in my home, and I started to see it every morning and I started to see it every day," Davidson exclusively tells Morning Honey. "I started to think about what I want around me and what makes me happy and what I want to look at everyday. I had this vision of a piece of art I wanted to make with Dubble Bubble candy, which said, 'In Case Of Emergency, Break Glass' on the front. I made the piece of art for myself, and it made me so happy, and I couldn’t stop smiling from it."

Davidson showed her creation to some friends, and soon enough, a lightbulb went off. "I was like, 'Woah, this could be me my next chapter. This could be what I really put all of my time towards and so that is how it all started," she shares.

Soon enough, her friends asked her to create pieces for them. Fast forward, and she shot some of the pieces at a gallery in Chelsea, New York.

"Another friend had encouraged me to put them on Instagram and said, 'These are really cool, and I think people would like them.' I put them on Instagram and then Instagram really launched my business."

Davidson's known for putting candy into her pieces, but she always talks to her clients beforehand to try and bring their vision to life.

"I would say 80 percent of my clients have seen pieces I made and they either want a version of that or they want to mix and match pieces they have seen me make," she says. "So, they will take a Dubble Bubble piece that I made that says,' In Case Of Emergency,' and then they will see a lollipop piece I’ve made that says, 'Sweet,' and they want to mix and match things they have seen me do. Then, I would say there are clients that have new candy and ideas of things that they have in mind that I haven’t worked with before and we'll kind of collaborate on what that could look like. Outside of candy, I have things that have been super nostalgic to them or their vice or indulgence that I have been commissioned to make pieces outside of that."

As for where people place the works of art, they can fit anywhere. "Foyers, kitchens, play areas and/or kids and nurseries, and then should I be so lucky to work with a client that is building a TV room or a movie theater type of room, something like that," she reveals.

Davidson is also fortunate that celebrities such as Joe Jonas, Sophie Turner and Addison Rae have become fans of her collection.

"It’s super cool that I am even on their radar, but the moment they get their piece and they tell me how much they love it is the ultimate [compliment]," she gushes. "Because someone could know who you are or someone could even want something from what you’re making but for them to have it and for them to love it ... that is success."

Even though she's extremely busy right now, the founder is not stopping anytime soon.

"There are things that work that I have already worked on that have done really well that people can look forward to seeing the second iteration of," she teases. "I will be launching my first of limited edition collections in the coming year as well, so there are a lot of things coming up – different price points, high and low, and all new [things]."

At the end of the day, Davidson is just over the moon that she gets to do this for a living — and make someone's day along the way.

"I honestly just love what I do so much, and I love the potential, and I love the people that I get to meet and work with," she admits. "It feels like a dream sometimes. I hope I am just making people smile from what I am making them and that to me is like the ultimate goal."
