Kate Middleton is allegedly disappointed in Prince Harry
Kate Middleton Said to Be Deeply Upset With Prince Harry After King Charles Comment
Tensions between Prince Harry and the rest of the royal family have been well documented, but one moment in particular is said to have deepened the divide. During a BBC interview last year, Harry spoke about King Charles III’s cancer battle, a remark that reportedly struck a chord within the family.
According to reports, the comments did not sit well with Catherine, Princess of Wales, who is said to have told Prince William that she was “done” with Harry. The episode has since been cited as a turning point, suggesting that the interview further strained ties between the Duke of Sussex and his brother’s household.
Why Was Kate Middleton “Disappointed” in Prince Harry?

Royal author Christopher Andersen discussed this particular rift in his new book Kate! The Courage, Grace, and Power of the Woman Who Will Be Queen.
According to snippets obtained by US Weekly, Andersen claimed Kate Middleton was “more disappointed than angry” with Prince Harry.
While the Princess of Wales “had worked harder than anyone to mend the rift between the brothers,” Andersen noted that “like everyone else, she has her limits”.
Therefore, after the Duke of Sussex spoke publicly about King Charles III’s cancer battle, it struck a nerve, especially given the Princess’ own health struggles.
“I think Kate’s relationship with her father-in-law over their shared cancer battles really has made her much more sensitive to King Charles’ feelings” Andersen wrote.
“She knows better than anyone that having someone publicly imply you may be at death’s door is horribly demoralizing.”
Meanwhile, Prince William “had already slammed the door shut on his brother” after the release of Prince Harry’s 2023 memoir, Spare. However, it was Kate Middleton who, being the "sweetest, most loving person you could ever know”, attempted to “bridge the widening gap between the brothers.”
But after the 41-year-old's comments, the royal expert alleged that even for the Princess of Wales, it seemed like “it was time to nail the door shut once and for all”.
In fact, the royal feud became so bad that Prince Harry and Kate Middleton won't “have any sort of relationship" in the "foreseeable future”.
What Did Prince Harry Say About the King's Cancer Battle?
Previously, in an emotional interview with the BBC, Prince Harry reflected on how it was “impossible” for him to bring Meghan Markle and his children back to the UK.
Therefore, it made him desperate for reconciliation with his family, as life was “precious” and he did not know how long his father had. “For the time being, it’s impossible for me to take my family back to the UK safely.” Prince Harry shared.
He continued, “I can’t see a world in which I would be bringing my wife and children back to the UK at this point … I love my country.”
Further, asked if he would ask the Prime Minister to step in and help him with security, so he could reconcile with his family, the 41-year-old said, “Yes, I would ask the Prime Minister to step in.”
The Prince then continued to reflect on his family's rift saying, “There have been so many disagreements, differences between me and some of my family.”
He continued, “Of course, some members of my family will never forgive me for writing a book, of course, they will never forgive me for lots of things, but … I would love reconciliation with my family.”
Prince Harry shared, “There’s no point in continuing to fight any more. Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has.”
