Right after his much-talked about Australia trip along with Meghan Markle, Prince Harry is back in the spotlight as the release of his U.S. visa records has been delayed again.

The documents, which campaigners have been trying to access for years, are now expected to be made public only after King Charles III completes his upcoming state visit to Washington, D.C.

Critics believe the delay in the release of the files raises questions about transparency and possible political sensitivity.

In addition, there's also a speculation that Harry may have failed to fully disclose past drug use on his visa application.

Next Update to Come After June 12

An X post highlights the delay in the release of Prince Harry’s U.S. visa records.

Despite the delay, campaigners are continuing their legal fight to access Harry’s U.S. visa records.

Particularly led by the Heritage Foundation, critics are putting pressure on the case to determine whether the prince had fully disclosed past drug use on his visa application, which could affect eligibility under U.S. immigration rules.

The U.S. State Department revealed the reason behind the delay in a recent court filing.

It missed a March deadline to release the documents and has now indicated the next update will come after June 12, following King Charles III’s state visit to Washington, D.C.

Sources close to the case told RadarOnline that the delay risks creating a “perception that this has all the hallmarks of a cover-up.”

They said, “By pushing the release until after the state visit, it avoids putting difficult questions front and center while King Charles is on the world stage”.

The case has been ongoing for nearly three years, spanning administrations under President Donald Trump and former President Joe Biden.

Lawyers for the Heritage Foundation want transparency on this matter, as they say they want to know if Harry received special treatment when he emigrated to the U.S.

However, the Trump administration has dismissed such concerns.

'Diplomacy Rather Than Controversy'

Now that the next update in the case has been pushed to after June 12 -- well after Charles completes his state visit to Washington, D.C. -- the delay has raised concerns.

Critics wonder if the postponement was done to avoid potential embarrassment to the British Monarch during the high-profile trip.

Although the court filing does not mention the king's visit as a reason for the delay, the timing has raised questions. Charles and Queen Camilla are expected to attend a state banquet hosted by Trump at the White House to mark the 250th anniversary of American independence.

“It raises the question of whether the system is bending to protect a high-profile individual at a politically sensitive moment,” an insider noted.

Since the king's visit is being described as politically sensitive, especially amid tensions between Washington and London over foreign policy issues, sources believe the delay was intentional.

“If details had emerged in the middle of the trip, it would have risked overshadowing everything. Delaying it keeps the focus on diplomacy rather than controversy,” one commentator told RadarOnline.
