Meghan Markle is reportedly handling the financial strain in her marriage
Meghan Markle Reportedly Considering Big Move to Support Prince Harry Amid ‘Money Is Tight’ Reports
Meghan Markle is reportedly carrying most of the financial responsibility in her marriage to Prince Harry.
While the Duke of Sussex continues focusing on charity work and humanitarian projects, sources say those efforts do not bring in enough income to support their expensive lifestyle in Montecito, California.
Therefore, insiders have noted that Markle’s business ventures and media deals are now the family’s main source of income.
And that's why she might have felt forced to take certain drastic steps to deal with the growing financial pressure behind the scenes.

Meghan Markle promoting her Bondi Beach outfit sparked controversy
While Meghan Markle is working to grow her “As Ever” lifestyle brand after recently ending her partnership with Netflix, sources told Page Six, that “money is tight” for the Sussexes.
Markle and Prince Harry are struggling to maintain their lifestyle in Montecito, California.
According to reports, the Prince needs at least $6 million every year to cover operating costs in the wealthy neighborhood, where the couple spends around $3 million on private security for the family.
Further, they also have to make mortgage payments on their $15 million mansion.
Thankfully, insiders added that Markle's wealthy and influential female friends are helping her expand her business ventures.
This report comes after the Duchess explained her controversial partnership with fashion marketplace OneOff, where she earns a percentage from sales.
Speaking with Women's Weekly, Markle said “fashion is one of the most powerful industries”, and went on to explain the OneOff choice, which sparked controversy following her Bondi Beach appearance during her quasi-royal Australia tour.
“Over the last several years, I would hear about an incorrect designer getting credit for something I wore, either via affiliate links or press, and that never seemed fair,” Markle said.
“Credit where credit is due. These brands and designers work so hard and take great pride in their work, and I choose them for a reason.”
She continued, “Either supporting a friend, being brand loyal... So it’s always been important to me that the correct designer is credited.”
After all of her ensembles from her tour featured on the site, Markle faced backlash for including the outfit she wore to meet the survivors of the Bondi terror attack.
However, following the reported information on financial strain in the family, it seems the Duchess is taking drastic steps to avoid bankruptcy.
Duke and Duchess of Sussex Attempted to Repair Royal Ties
Meanwhile, despite King Charles III and Queen Camilla’s recent visit to the U.S., the Royal couple didn't make time for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Even though the King flew across continents, amid the Duke of Sussex’s desperate desire to mend things, the monarch did not meet his son.
Duncan Larcombe exclusively told The Mirror that the snub happened because the Royal family has no trust in the Sussexes.
“[King Charles] is in an impossible position right now. He and Prince William can’t reach out to Harry for fear of him then publicising it,” Larcombe shared with the outlet.
This lack of trust and the family breakdown reportedly happened after the Sussexes dropped the 2021 Oprah interview, and the Prince later published his memoir, Spare, in 2023.
Royal expert Richard Palmer thus said, “There’s always a general worry that Harry or Meghan are going to say something that will embarrass the King and Queen.”
Now, while the King snubbed Prince Harry during his U.S. visit, the Duke of Sussex seems adamant on fixing that during his upcoming UK visit for an Invictus Games event.
Especially since his family in the U.S. is reportedly struggling with money problems, the Prince seems more desperate than ever to mend his Royal ties.
