Lauren Wolfe did not expect her life to unfold in the way it did. During her senior year of college, the influencer was interviewing for social media marketing jobs, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic spreading like wildfire, the job market was scarce.

"So here I was, a senior about to graduate, living at home, taking classes via Zoom, with no job prospects in sight. TikTok was just beginning at this point, so I thought, 'Well, why not give content creation one more chance since I had nothing else going on and pretty much nothing to lose.' At first, I was definitely a little embarrassed, but as people left positive comments, I slowly got over it. I continued to post fashion content — things I was interested in watching — and it took off from there," the content creator exclusively tells Morning Honey while talking about partnering up with Burt's Bees for the holidays.

Lauren Wolfe is a content creator living in New York City.

From a young age, Wolfe knew she was cut out for the job — but she just had a find a way to break through.

"I remember watching so many YouTubers in middle school and thinking they had my dream job. I even posted a few YouTube videos myself, but they were bad, so I gave up on that dream and tried pursuing other creative ventures," she says. "I wanted to start my own bikini line so I transferred to L.A. my junior semester in college and tried that (I still have the bikinis!). I also tried designing jewelry. So yes, it was always a dream of mine to do something like this, but I never, ever thought it was realistic or achievable."

Fortunately, she did, as she now has millions of followers across Instagram and TikTok.

"It still feels unbelievable to me sometimes! Mostly I feel incredibly lucky, blessed and grateful, but also like I have an even bigger responsibility to find the best deals, products, experiences, etc., so that I can continue to share them with everyone. I’m probably the opposite of a gatekeeper. I’m still in awe of the feedback and responses I get from my content because the support from my fan base is really what encourages me to keep making more content," she shares. "For example, when I started to add more travel and lifestyle videos to my page, my followers were really excited about the change and pushed me to keep doing it. Also, one of the things I enjoy most is when girls say hi to me in real life. It makes me feel like we’re all a big group of friends with shared interests."

Of course, there's ups and downs along the way, but the star wouldn't trade it for anything.

"The best part of my job is the people I’ve met and been fortunate enough to work with. That includes amazing brands, incredibly talented and kind content creators, and the community who follow me on social media. I’ve also made some great friends. The most challenging part is probably the negative comments or hateful people, but I think that is inescapable for anyone in the public eye," she explains.

She adds, "I love the thought that even though there are billions of people in the world, and any of those people could put their own unique spin on a topic of their choice, there is always a fresh way of creating content — and your fresh approach has the potential to reach people when all the other ways couldn’t. That's both the challenge and the reward."

Lauren Wolfe is grateful for the support of her followers.

Prior to the upcoming holiday season, Wolfe is thrilled to be partnering with Burt's Bees so that everyone can run out and get their loved ones something from the beloved brand.

"I have been a Burt’s Bees fan and customer for almost all of my life, so I was really looking forward to having the opportunity to work with them in this capacity, especially during the festive holiday season. I was really excited to create my own bundle with them because they have such a wide range of products that can be gifted to pretty much everyone on your list," she says.

  • "One of my favorite sets is the Burt’s Bees Beeswax Bounty Assorted Mix Lip Balm Gift Set — available online and at Target stores now — because who wouldn’t want a Burt’s Bees lip balm? They are everyone’s favorite, extremely moisturizing and the pack allows you to have a balm in every pocket and purse," she continues. "I am really excited to gift my family and friends the Lip Mask and Face Sheet Mask Gift Set — available online and at Target stores now — because a mask is one of the best ways to have a self-care moment, especially over the holidays. There are also four different masks in the set, so it really is the gift that keeps on giving."

Additionally, if you want to get a whole slew of presents, look no further than Wolfe's bundle, which features some of her favorite products from Burt’s Bees, including the Hand Cream Trio Holiday Gift Set, Mini Tinted Lip Balms Holiday Gift Set Trio, Cleansing Oil, Dahlia Hyaluronic Acid Plumping Lip Serum.

"I love the gift sets because they are great for anyone on your list, AND they are already packaged as a gift. So all you need to do is add your recipient's name!" she adds.

  • Though Wolfe is "happy" with her career right now, she knows there's so many more opportunities to come.

"I get requests to start my own brand, do a podcast, reality TV, etc.," she shares.

But most of all, she wants to inspire others to "never give up on your dreams."

Lauren Wolfe doesn't want others to give up on their dreams.

"I’m a walking billboard for you can achieve your dreams if you go for it. And secondly, through my content! I spend a lot of time thinking about what I want to share with people. I want them to come away feeling like their lives are better, whether that is because they’ve learned something new or helpful, or been entertained so they’re happier people to be around. I also want them to feel like they're part of a community of friends who always have your back, because who doesn’t want that?" she concludes.
