Brooke Shields & Her Husband Had The 'Saddest Drive' Home After Dropping Off Daughter Rowan At College
There's now an empty room in Brooke Shields' house!
The actress revealed that her and husband Chris Henchy's eldest child, 18-year-old daughter Rowan is now a college student at Wake Forest University in North Carolina.
On August 21, Shields shared a few photos from move-in day, showing her daughter's room and the campus. In the last slide of her Instagram post, the mom-of-two turned the camera on herself to show her red and teary eyes.
Her other daughter, 15-year-old Grier, also made the trip.
"My unique and extraordinary baby girl spreading her wings. I love you so. We are so proud of you," the Hollywood star gushed. "This was the saddest drive away from anywhere I’ve ever had to make. But my baby is BEGINNING one of the most important adventures of her life to date…NOW!"

The Lipstick Jungle star received words of support from her famous friends who have been through the same experience.
"Know how it feels baby sending you and Chris love and also so much love to your beautiful daughter ❤️❤️❤️," wrote model Helena Christensen. Christie Brinkley added, "Major milestone emotional moment❤️❤️😢😂🍸."
The mother-daughter duo clearly have a close relationship — the model even let the student wear one of her designer red carpet gowns to prom!
"I thought it was a special night when I was nominated for a Golden Globe and wore this dress in 1998, but nothing could have prepared me to see my daughter wearing it to her prom ❤️ proud mama!" Shields captioned a photo that showed Rowan in a strapless red dress.
At the 18-year-old's high school graduation, the Blue Lagoon alum shared a video of her daughter performing at the ceremony, confessing that she purposely wore waterproof mascara for the memorable occasion.
After the special night, the pair celebrated by going to a tattoo shop in Brooklyn to get matching ladybug ink; Rowan got hers on her ankle while Shields opted for her wrist.
"A special graduation gift and memory with my girl," the model shared. "I’m so proud of you, I love you more than words can say."
