It's not always easy to enter parenthood — something Mindy Kaling, Mandy Moore and other celebrities know all too well. Now, all of the A-listers are joining ByHeart's #dearnewparents initiative, where they share their personal experiences around feeding their babies.

Kaling took to Instagram, where she got candid with her followers about the frustrations and challenges of becoming a new parent. "When I had my kids, I always assumed I would breastfeed. So when I needed to supplement my milk supply, I felt total guilt, panic, and ultimately spent way too much time in a frantic, late-night internet spiral," she said.

She continued, "I'm joining @byheart in their mission to demystify feeding for new parents and show that there's no wrong choice, we just need more guidance and clarity. #dearnewparents - drop the guilt when it comes to feeding! You're doing great. I challenge all of you to share something you wish you knew but no one told you..."

The "Candy" singer also shared a video of herself pumping and breastfeeding her son, Gus. "Nourishing my body was equal parts elation and exhaustion," she began. "It's a process, and we're always making mistakes (sometimes physically painful ones!). #dearnewparents please have grace for yourself and your baby during those early days. I wish I had done a little more of that. I'm joining @byheart in challenging you all to share your stories to the next generation of parents."

Andy Cohen, who is a father to Ben and Lucy, also chimed in, saying, "No one prepared me for the joy I'd feel spending hours doing something super simple with Ben ... like watching ants, or talking about a picture in a book. I never thought I had the patience to sit still and focus like this, or the simple pleasure it brings me. #dearnewparents when everything is moving so fast, enjoy the simple moments with your little one. We need to support each other in the transition to parenthood and I'm excited to join @byheart in sharing my parenting learnings with the next generation of parents — this is a wild ride and there's no manual. I'm joining @byheart in challenging you all to share your stories to the next generation of parents."

ByHeart will use the feedback real parents share to create programs and resources aimed at filling the gaps highlighted through this initiative.

"At ByHeart, supporting parents is at the heart of everything we do. Parents deserve more information and better resources to help them feel prepared and confident. #DearNewParents is meant to be a love letter from one parent to the next generation of parents: here is something I wish I knew but no one told me. We're continually inspired to crowdsource these kinds of real stories to help our community build on each other’s wisdom and to help us continue to innovate on products and systems that support the next generation of parents." Mia Funt, Co-Founder & President of ByHeart, exclusively tells Morning Honey in a statement.
