Melania Trump's Epstein speech causes Ghislaine Maxwell email to resurface
'Love, Melania': Ghislaine Maxwell Email From 2002 Resurfaces After First Lady’s Epstein Address
After the Department of Justice (DOJ) released over three million pages of the Jeffrey Epstein files in January 2026, a bunch of documents emerged online naming several prominent individuals from across the world. From former Prince Andrew to Bill Gates and Hillary Clinton, multiple names came forward in the lists.
However, the one name that is grabbing the headlines as of late is that of First Lady Melania Trump. Part of the reason why her name is under the spotlight now is her recent speech involving the disgraced financier.
Thanks to her speech, the 55-year-old may have reignited speculations about her links to Ghislaine Maxwell, the imprisoned accomplice of Epstein.
The Email Exchange Between Melania Trump and Ghislaine Maxwell
An X user shares Melania Trump and Ghislaine Maxwell's email exchange from 2002.
An old email reportedly linking Melania to Maxwell emerged after the DOJ released a batch of documents related to Epstein in January 2026.
The message, dated 2002, was sent by the first lady to Maxwell, asking about travel plans and the Palm Beach. It read, “Dear G! I know you are very busy flying all over the world. How was Palm Beach? I cannot wait to go down. Give me a call when you are back in NY. Love, Melania.”
Further, a reply, believed to be from Maxwell, also appeared in the documents. It read, “Sweet pea – thanks for your message. Actually plans changed again and I am now on my way back to NY. I leave again on Fri so I still do not think I have time to see you sadly. I will try and call though.”
The exchange suggests the two women may have been in contact at the time, thus drawing public attention, since Melania had previously denied having any relationship with Epstein.
Melania Trump Denies Having Any Ties With Jeffrey Epstein
Melania Trump delivers a speech denying any links to Jeffrey Epstein.
Meanwhile, although the chaos surrounding this email had subsided a month after its release, Melania seemingly reignited the debate after her White House speech. On Thursday, April 9, she denied having ever maintained a friendship with Epstein, the late s*x offender.
“The lies linking me with the disgraceful Jeffrey Epstein need to end today," Melania said during her speech at the White House.
"The individuals lying about me are devoid of ethical standards, humility and respect. I do not object to their ignorance, but rather I reject their mean-spirited attempts to defame my reputation," she added.
"I have never been friends with Epstein. Donald and I were invited to the same parties as Epstein from time to time, since overlapping in social circles is common in New York City," the 55-year-old further added. "To be clear, I never had a relationship with Epstein or his accomplice, Maxwell."
The first lady then proceeded to call for the Congress to set up a public hearing for Epstein's victims to provide "sworn testimony" on the abuse.
“Each and every woman should have her day to tell her story in public if she wishes," she said, thus prompting the case to reopen, amid Trump's ongoing Iran war.
