Melania Trump Finally Breaks Silence on Jeffrey Epstein Claims in Rare Public Statement

Earlier this year, the world went into a frenzy when the Epstein files were made available to the public. The list included numerous notable names around the world, including Melania Trump. This made netizens draw links between Jeffrey Epstein and her, claiming that she might have known about his crimes.

After months of speculation, the First Lady has come forward and issued a public statement, denying any ties with the disgraced financier. She claims that the internet has exaggerated their limited social interaction and blown it out of proportion.

During a public appearance at the White House, Melania Trump read a statement, saying the lies that link her with Jeffrey Epstein need to end today. She claimed that the allegations were “mean-spirited attempts” to tarnish her reputation. She continued, “I never been friends with Epstein.”

She said her husband, Donald Trump, and she were invited to the same parties as him in NYC and Palm Beach due to “overlapping in social circles.” Additionally, she rejected a more serious allegation, saying, “I am not Epstein's victim. Epstein did not introduce me to Donald Trump.” She said that she has a detailed description of how she met her husband in her book, "Melania."

Melania said that in 2000, she met Epstein when she and her husband attended an event together. She remarked, “At the time, I had never met Epstein and had no knowledge of his criminal undertakings.” She emphasized that she has seen countless images and statements about the disgraced financier and her, urging people to be cautious about what they believe.

The First Lady denied having any ties with Epstein. She commented, “I'm not a witness or a named witness in connection with any of Epstein's crimes.” She reasoned that her name had never been mentioned in court documents, depositions, or in victims’ statements.

She emphasized, “I was never involved in any capacity. I was not a participant, was never on Epstein’s plane, and never visited his private island.” With that statement, she formally denied abusing underage children on the island.

In the same speech at the White House, she stated that she has never been “legally accused” or convicted of a crime in connection with the Epstein files. She said that, “The false smears about me from mean-spirited and politically motivated individuals and entities looking to cause damage to my good name.”

She added that the politicians of the opposition party members have caused damage to her “good name to gain financially and climb politically", and this must stop. She continued, saying her attorneys and she have fought these claims, uncovering baseless lies with success. The FLOTUS said that she will continue to maintain her “sound reputation without hesitation.”

She accused several media outlets of spreading misinformation about her and urged Congress to act, stating that "Epstein was not alone." Melania Trump said, “Several prominent male executives resigned from their powerful positions after this matter became widely politicized.”

The First Lady did not equate their actions with guilt, though she said they must work with transparency and uncover the truth. She suggested that Congress should provide the survivors with a public hearing and say their side of the story under oath and concluded her statement.
