Ghislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein's close associate, shows no regret for the abuse minors endured at private parties, according to Jen Shah. The former Real Housewives star completed her sentence in the same federal prison where the British socialite serves her term.

Shah shared these observations from her limited interactions with Maxwell in prison. She avoided Maxwell for most of her time there, as the socialite expressed no remorse for her actions.

Ghislaine Maxwell Lives Proudly With Her Crimes

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Jen Shah discussed sharing a Texas prison with Ghislaine Maxwell. She explained that she actively stayed away from Maxwell, limiting their interactions.

Shah was released from the facility in December 2025 and completed the rest of her sentence under home confinement. She chose to distance herself from Maxwell, who was convicted on trafficking charges.

Shah limited her interactions with Maxwell partly because both were high-profile inmates. Instead, she bonded with Elizabeth Holmes, the former Theranos CEO serving time for fraud and conspiracy.

The former reality TV star said, “Lizzie and I are good friends. As another high profile prisoner, there are just certain things you're both dealing with, so you naturally come together in those instances.” She added that Holmes also avoided Maxwell due to the socialite's attitude toward Epstein's victims.

Shah added, “I just feel like there should be a level of remorse for the victims.” Maxwell publicly expressed to Holmes and Shah that she felt no remorse for her actions; the British socialite stated this outright.

Shah recalled a striking moment: when Epstein's victims appeared on television, Maxwell showed complete disregard for them. She noted, “And this is when they are pouring their hearts out in front of Congress for those files to be released.” Shah disapproved of Maxwell's attitude toward the victims.

Inside Ghislaine Maxwell’s Life in Federal Prison

In the same interview, Jen Shah described the lavish treatment Ghislaine Maxwell received in the Texas prison. Maxwell enjoyed privileges other high-profile inmates could only imagine, including private workout sessions, special meals, and bottled water.

Every inmate noticed Maxwell's comfortable life, but Shah knew details firsthand from her recreation job. She found it concerning that Maxwell did not follow the same procedures as other prisoners.
