Ginger Zee didn't expect to receive any negativity when she posted a playful video of herself getting dolled up for the cameras, but of course, social media trolls just couldn't resist opening their mouths.

On Twitter and Instagram, the star celebrated her return to Good Morning America by showing her wardrobe "transformation." At the beginning of the clip, Zee was dressed in a jean jacket, ripped jeans, sandals and a hair turban, but after a jump, it showed her with her hair down, wearing a colorful striped dress and blue heels.

While most fans complimented the TV personality's polished look and asked her where they could buy her frock, one user wrote, "I wish Hollywood would stop putting pressure on women to be this skinny."

The meteorologist then replied, "Hmmm I rarely get called skinny (athletic more often) — have a BMI of around 21 — I would think this is about right for me :) I’ve weighed the same (barring pregnancy) for almost two decades. Definitely not Hollywood."

Zee's fans noticed the troll and quickly stepped in to defend the California native.

"This makes me so angry!" one social media user wrote in response. "For someone that has been so transparent and an advocate of mental health awareness, I think the last thing you do is portray anything other than positivity." Zee then sent them a thumbs up emoji.

Another fan wrote, "Still amazed how @Ginger_Zee can respond to these kinds of comments with such grace....I would just ignore or be very snarky."

Zee replied back, "I like addressing because other people think it — it’s an education ;)"

The Dancing With the Stars alum has been candid about her past struggle with anorexia.

"It’s a moment in my life that I’ve not shared with a lot of people," she revealed, noting things were the worst from ages 10 to 14. "It’s not something I’m proud of because it’s a disease that I chose."

Since then, Zee has welcomed two boys: in 2015, she gave birth to son Adrian, and in 2018, Miles was born.
