The Princesses’ Family Faces Backlash After Epstein Scandal
Meanwhile, the Princesses' public appearance at Poppy Delevingne’s birthday celebration in London comes in the wake of renewed scrutiny around their parents, former Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson.
Back in February 2026, the former Prince was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office linked to allegations surrounding his former role as a U.K. trade envoy.
In addition, there were also reports linked to his past association with convicted s-- offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Although former Prince Andrew has denied wrongdoing related to Epstein, his brother King Charles III has promised to provide assistance in the investigation.
The allegations came after the British monarch stripped the former Prince of his military titles in 2022, as scrutiny around his Epstein connections intensified.
His ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, also appeared in the Epstein files released by the DOJ.
Emails showed personal correspondence between her and the late financier, where she requested £20,000 for rent and discussed borrowing larger sums.
Ferguson’s emails also described Jeffrey Epstein as a "brother," a "legend," and even showed her desperate desire to marry him.
In one of the mails, she wrote, "I'm at your service just marry me". These files drew fresh public attention to the York family, forcing them to remain out of the media spotlight.
