The 18-year-old actress flashed her pearly whites in a red dress that featured embellishments on the collar and on the cuffs of the sleeves. Paired with silver ankle-strap heels, she let her dress do all the talking, as she stayed away from any accessories.

Just one day later, Reid found out that she was invited to this year's Met Gala, and she posted her excited reaction on Instagram.

For the shindig, she debuted a short blonde 'do and strutted down the carpet in a maroon, black and pink crop top, paired with a pink feathery skirt, all by Prada.

She completed the look with a floral necklace, black closed-toe pumps and unique eye makeup.

"Baby Storm’s first #MetBall… thank you to my @prada family for this moment ❤️," she wrote on Instagram afterwards.

Since it was the A Wrinkle in Time star's first Met Gala outing, she asked for some tips from pal Zendaya.

"I was with her yesterday actually on the set of Euphoria, and she gave me some words of encouragement which meant a lot because she's the queen of the Met Gala," she shared with Entertainment Tonight. "She was one of the first people I went to about cutting my hair, like what'd she think, and she was like, 'You go ahead, it's gonna look great.' So she really gave me confidence to chop my hair off."

"It's a whole thing. I can't think that I was even invited to something like this," Reid gushed. "But I'm just grateful to be here. Grateful to be outside, grateful to just take up space."
