Savannah Guthrie Shares 'Absolutely Terrifying' Details From the Night Her Mother Went Missing

Savannah Guthrie’s recent interview has made waves across the internet, reigniting national talk about the Nancy Guthrie case. The sit-down revealed several previously unshared details, including events from the morning after Nancy was kidnapped.

Savannah detailed a chilling narrative about the crime scene, recalling every minute detail she saw after her 84-year-old mother went missing. The TV anchor opened up about everything that happened, even as her mother remains missing.

In Part I of her Today interview, Savannah recounted the morning her sister called her to give the devastating news: their mother was missing. The revelation, she said, hit like a bolt from the blue. Both panicked as Savannah urged her sister to call 911.

"She said she had already called, and [police] were at Mother's house," Savannah recalled. Her sister speculated that their mother "must have had some kind of medical episode in the night and that somehow the paramedics had come."

Then Savannah visited the harrowing crime scene. The doors stood "propped open," blood drops stained the front doorstep, and the Ring camera had been "yanked off," she said. The disturbing scene screamed one truth: "This is not okay."

She continued, "We thought maybe they came and there was a stretcher and they took her out the back. But her phone was there, her purse was there, and all her things." Savannah said it felt like her mother was kidnapped "in the dead of night in her pajamas, with no shoes, without her medicine."

She could not control her emotions, calling the incident "just absolutely terrifying." Savannah added, "It's just totally terrifying, and I can't imagine that that is who she saw standing over her bed." Fighting back tears, she said, "I can't. It's too much."

In Part II of her Today interview, the TV host admitted that with her mother missing for so long, she has accepted Nancy may no longer be with them. After 54 days without Nancy, Savannah revealed a spiritual experience shaped her outlook.

She described her "faith as strong and resolute." Savannah said that she heard a voice that she claimed was a higher power and when she asked it about her mother's whereabouts, it replied, "You do know where she is. She is with me."

Savannah added, "We need to know." Her mother's condition remains unknown. Recently, a neighbor of Nancy has shared key information about her disappearance.
