Savannah said, “In the darkness, I imagine her terror. And it is unthinkable, but those thoughts demand to be thought.” She further added that Nancy needs to “come home now.” Kotb was visibly emotional as well, as she described Savannah’s state of mind to her co-hosts and said there was “desperation” and “steeliness.”

Kotb claimed that Savannah’s “desperation” stemmed from the fact that the latter hopes that her mother’s abductors will come forward and say something. Kotb mentioned that in the upcoming interview, Savannah will discuss the ongoing investigation and topics that are relevant to the case.

She praised the resilience of the 54-year-old, who she said had “direct thoughts about what’s going on” in the case. One of the co-hosts urged people to come forward and provide information related to the case, no matter how insignificant it appears to be.

Guthrie Family Seeks Help From Local Community

According to KVOA, Savannah and her family released a public statement expressing their heartfelt gratitude for the Tucson community and called them “family.” The statement said that they firmly believe that the people of Tucson hold the power to solve the case.

The Guthrie family urged the locals to recall incidents around them, especially around the following dates – January 11, January 31 and February 1. They asked the community to renew its attention to the case. Additionally, the family also urged the public to go through security camera footage, journals, text messages, observations, or anything that might hold some significance in the investigation.

The statement read, “We miss our mom with every breath and we cannot be at peace until she is home. We cannot grieve; we can only ache and wonder.” The family said that they focus solely on finding Nancy, bringing her home and celebrating her, but added that it can’t be done until “she is brought to a final place of rest.”

Recently, a neighbor of the 84-year-old has come forward and shared an anecdote around the key dates mentioned in the statement. It might turn out to be helpful, potentially helping the investigators in finding something related to the suspects.
