The star donned a bright red belted blazer and matching wide-legged pants by Sergio Hudson for her appearance. Accessories included big gold hoop earrings, a silky maroon face mask and peep-toe heels from Jimmy Choo.

"Red light," she captioned her look on Instagram, where she revealed she was styled by Law Roach.

"In the past, I always felt pressure to look a certain way. I have been raised with unrealistic beauty standards my whole life — we all have," she shared with The Telegraph. "Growing up, I believed everything had to be perfect, skinny or sample size, and airbrushed. It has taken me time to come to terms with my natural skin and natural hair texture."

Since then, the Anomaly Haircare founder has learned to love every unique aspect of herself.

"I'm now comfortable in my own skin and I can work with brands that are about individuality and expressing yourself," she said. "It's been a revelation."

The Bollywood star's confidence has also allowed her to become a role model for other non-American women looking to make it in Hollywood.

"I do feel I’ve been able to do that because I demanded to play roles that were not specific boxes that I usually saw South Asian characters being put into," she explained to The Mirror. "I insisted on roles with something to say."

"I think I really knocked down the door and demanded for it to shift," the Quantico actress continued. "But I was working at a time when a lot of other people were calling for inclusivity and diversity, so being among a pack of loud voices really helped me."
