Lip Reader Claims Cardi B Told Stefon Diggs ‘We’re Done’

Cardi B fired off at Stefon Diggs in a video that took over social media recently, and a lip reader who spoke to The Mirror US claims that their exchange was far from friendly.

In the video, Cardi can be seen shouting at someone in a white vehicle, with many believing that she was having words with Diggs. Among other things, according to expert lip reader Nicola Hickling, the rapper told the NFL, "We're done," days after they both attended a Mother's Day event hosted by Diggs.

The video, which was posted on Wednesday, has already gained close to 11 million views and shows Cardi animatedly pointing and walking toward a car while shouting. She's in casual clothes as they appear to be outside a coffee shop and clips shared online.

Diggs' face isn't clearly visible in the video, but the man who is leaning against the vehicle appears to be calm during the exchange, with his hands folded in front of him.

Hickling claims that that Cardi says, "Nah, F–k you. I’m telling you step down." She then tells him, that they're done.

A man follows Cardi and then briefly places a hand on her shoulder as the confrontation continues. He also says a few words to the mother of four as she turns around.

On Thursday, the "Up" singer tried to laugh off the video when she posted a message on social media addressing what went down.

“Sometimes I forget I’m a celebrity… y’all ain’t never cuss your babydad out when you hungry?” Cardi wrote.

In the meantime, fans have been speculating about the status of her and Diggs' relationship after seeing the video. Many jumped to her defense, while others questioned why their relationship seemed so volatile.

One user said, "Can’t even breathe in peace when you are celeb," while another commented, "Celebrity arguments in public always turn into instant internet theatre. One minute it’s coffee, next minute it’s headlines."

A third person quipped, "Cardi B and Stefon Diggs went from Mother's Day sweethearts to coffee shop combatants in 72 hours. That's not a relationship, that's a weather pattern."

The argument came only days after Cardi and Diggs appeared together at his Mother's Day wellness event. They surprised fans who didn't know that they were on such good terms.

Videos from the event showed them smiling, posing for photographs, and even sharing an affectionate moment or two. At the time, it of course fueled rumors that they may have made up after they had reportedly split.

Soon after they cozied up at the event, claims about Cardi giving Diggs a "second chance" but "not fully committing" to the relationship were everywhere.

The pair had ended their relationship earlier this year, and fans had noticed that they unfollowed each other on Instagram. At the time, there were rumors of trust issues and even cheating.

Cardi apparently confirmed that they were no longer dating when she called out rapper BIA saying, "Just because I ain’t f---ing with my baby daddy doesn't mean you get to talk about my baby daddy."

The rapper and the New England Patriots star first got together in late 2024, and in November last year, Cardi gave birth to their son. She has three older children from her previous marriage to Offset.
