Rapper Offset was shot outside a casino in Seminole, Florida, on Monday.
A spokesperson for the 34-year-old former Migos rapper confirmed to PEOPLE that he was hospitalized after the incident. "He is stable and being closely monitored," they told the news outlet.
Two people have been detained, and the investigation is currently under process. Police authorities informed the media outlet that they reached the site of the incident immediately and that the situation was soon contained. TMZ was the first news portal to break the news of the shooting.
The Seminole Police Department gave a statement to PEOPLE. It said that they are "aware of an incident that occurred at a valet area after 7 p.m. Monday outside of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood" that led to "non-life threatening injuries to an individual who was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood."
Police have not yet disclosed where Offset was shot. However, they revealed that the site of the incident is now secure and that people are not under any threat. They also revealed that the operations at the property are continuing according to their normal routine.

Many others remembered Takeoff - Offset's cousin and fellow Migos member, who was shot dead in 2022. "We can't lose another Migo twin," a user commented with an AI-generated image. "This is bad , why do I feel like the Migos are being targeted ?" wondered someone else.
Offset, Takeoff, and his uncle Quavo were part of the platinum-selling hip-hop group Migos. Formed in 2008, the group disbanded after the fatal shooting of Takeoff in 2022. Shortly after the tragic incident, Offset took to Instagram and penned a heartfelt note remembering his fellow band member.
"The pain you have left me with is unbearable." Offset wrote at the time. "My heart is shattered, and I have so many things to say, but I can't find the words. I've been going to sleep and waking up hoping that all of this is a dream, but it's reality, and reality feels like a nightmare," the rapper shared.
Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, secretly married Cardi B in 2018. The latter announced that she filed for divorce in 2024. The former couple has three children together.
