Rodríguez shared the news on Instagram with a photo of her giant diamond ring and the caption, “Yes, I do.” Following the Instagram announcement, Ronaldo revealed why he took so much time to propose.
Speaking with Piers Morgan, the footballer revealed the decision came after careful thought. “I always say that good things happen at the right time,” he said.
Ronaldo added, “Sometimes you need time to realize you shouldn’t make certain mistakes. I didn’t want to rush something so important.”
He continued, “I’m going to marry her because I believe it’s the right time,”
