“Usha Vance Cannot Whitewash Her Husband”: Internet Roasts the Second Lady’s Attempt to Praise JD Vance
Usha Vance (40)’s attempt to praise her husband, JD Vance (41), and make Americans see him in a different light heavily backfired on her. Social media users were not convinced by her words and instead trolled the couple in a brutal reaction to her latest interview with Fox News host Kayleigh McEnany.
According to Radar, the Second Lady was asked to share something that Americans were not aware of about her husband. In response, Usha said, “He is just the nicest, funniest guy. He's really just a wonderful person to be around, and our children, our family, have so much more joy because he is a part of it. I wish that people saw more of that."

As soon as her interview went viral, social media users began mocking her for her statement. Not only did they point out several “red flags” about the Vice President, but they also called her out for trying to humanize her husband.
A social media user said, “Usha Vance cannot whitewash her husband.” An X user added, “She must be easily amused bc he's got the personality of a mushroom.”
Taking a direct dig at Usha, a user on X stated, “She must be a terrible person as well. It's the only explanation.” An X user chimed in, “No ma'am. He has terrorized this country with his heartless lies and actions. The last thing he is is nice or funny."
Another social media user said, “This sounds like something she would tell her girlfriends when they ask why he did that f----- up thing in public again.” The backlash quickly escalated into mockery as social media users refused to believe the Second Lady’s words to praise her husband.
A user on X added, “What's funny is that she thinks this is convincing.” Criticizing Usha, a social media user stated, “She is so gross. And a liar just like her s****** husband.”
An X user chimed in, “'Funniest.' Usha girl, you could have at least tried to make it believable.” Another social media user added, “The fact that no one knows he's a 'nice, funny' guy just shows you how horrible he's actually been in public.”
Usha Vance’s Defense Deepens JD Vance Controversy
Mocking Usha Vance’s words for JD Vance in the interview, a social media user stated, “If he was nice and funny, we'd know.” Another user on X said, “Maybe more people would see it if he would actually show it. Seems like he'd rather continue to show himself as an a------.”
A social media user called out the Vice President as a sycophant of Donald Trump. The comment said, “Vance is anything but funny or nice, and he's dumber than dirt! America knows all it needs to know about her husband, a total Trump sycophant with no independent thinking.”

Furthermore, her statement also comes amid JD Vance’s promotion of his new memoir, Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith. According to the Guardian, the memoir will be published on June 16, 2026, by HarperCollins and is described as “a spiritual exploration of what it means to be a Christian across the seasons of Vance’s life”.
