Top Dem Believes ‘Real Housewives’ Star Jen Shah Has ‘Critical Information’ About Ghislaine Maxwell

A top Democrat believes that Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah might have “critical information” about Ghislaine Maxwell.

Shah shared the same prison with Maxwell - Jeffrey Epstein’s longtime associate and co-conspirator, who was convicted of child s-x trafficking in 2021. The Real Housewives alum, 52, recently spoke with People and opened up about her experience with Maxwell, 64, while serving time at a federal prison camp in Bryan, Texas.

According to Rawstory, Following the reality TV star’s interview with the magazine, Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) spoke with CNN anchor Pamela Brown and said that House leaders and members of the House Oversight Committee want to talk to Shah for more information about Maxwell.

"Well, I never thought that my interest and love for the Real Housewives franchise and my work on Oversight would collide. But actually, we reached out to Jen Shah yesterday," Garcia told Brown when asked about what the lawmakers were planning to do. "I'm not sure if that's been reported or not, but we actually reached out to her through a representative. We actually want to talk to her,” Garcia said.

The Democrat then added, “Look, at the end of the day, she is someone that's interacted with Ghislaine Maxwell in that prison. She clearly has information about what Ghislaine Maxwell was saying to others, and we have not had access to folks in that prison that have been interacting with Ghislaine Maxwell. So we think that might have important information. And so if she is watching, please respond. We definitely want to talk. I think she's got critical information."

In her interview, Shah said that she had “limited interactions” with Maxwell. "Um, but her experience there is, uh, it's very different from anyone else's, even Elizabeth [Holmes] and I, um, she is treated very differently there," Shah added. "And honestly, I chose that. I chose to have very limited interaction with her."

Shah talked about the former British socialite’s alleged lack of remorse for the trafficking victims. She also claimed that Maxwell received special treatment in prison, including private workout sessions, special meals, and bottled water. "There's a process you have to go through to schedule your legal calls, she would not have to go through the same process,” Shah said, citing an example of the alleged preferential treatment Maxwell received in prison.

A spokesperson for the Bureau of Prisons refuted Shah's allegations. In a statement to People, the spokesperson said that the organization "is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, impartiality, and professionalism in the operation of its facilities."

"Staff are required to treat all inmates equitably, in accordance with law, policy, and institutional security and safety protocols. Any deviation from this standard undermines public trust and the fair administration of justice,” the statement said, before adding that violations could result in a range of disciplinary actions “including removal from federal service and potential criminal prosecution,"

Meanwhile, Rep. Garcia said that lawmakers are connecting with Shah’s representatives. “And we're hopeful that she'll come and speak with us."
