Trump biographer says his war against Iran could be his final act.
The Real Reason Trump Won't Recover From Iran War, Biographer Warns of the 'Beginning of the End'
Donald Trump’s biographer, Michael Wolff, has issued a warning about rising tensions with Iran. He believes that ongoing issues with Iran are a sign that things are ‘changing for the worse’. The author believes that this conflict could be the “beginning of the end”. The escalating tensions have raised concerns about the future.
According to The Daily Beast, Michael Wolff made these comments while speaking on a podcast called Inside Trump’s Head. Wolff said Trump has been making aggressive threats toward Iran. The president recently made a threat to destroy “a whole civilization” if Iran didn’t comply. Wolff stressed that despite the threats, he does not appear to have a clear plan for what comes next. Wolff said whether Trump follows through or backs down, he still wouldn’t know “how to deal with what comes after”.
Foreign Affairs calls out Trump's Iran war plan with 'no strategy'
On the podcast, Wolff talked to host Joanna Coles and said, “I think this situation is the worst situation he has gotten himself into. I think we can go broader on it: On a tipping point scale, this is very much, very clearly– I think indisputably– the beginning of the end. He’s not going to recover from this. The danger now lies in not knowing what it would look like if the 79-year-old president were to “take everyone with him.’
Wolff continued, “I mean, he’s going to take everyone around with him, but if he were to actually do what he’s threatening to do to Iran– I’m just trying to think. I don’t think this is going to happen, and I may absolutely be proved wrong. It is Donald Trump. You don’t know. He is a crazy man. So, does restraint– “TACO” kick in at some point today? I don’t know. I expect that it will, but if it doesn’t, I don’t know.”
Wolff further added that Trump doesn’t know how he will deal with the circumstances in the future. “He literally doesn’t know how. In business as usual, he would declare victory, but we are over that line. That’s not believable anymore. Him declaring victory would immediately make it clear that we have lost and the Iranians had won. The other side of that is that he can become more aggressive, but more aggression only seems to give the Iranians more backbone, more determination to use the leverage they have against us, and actually, the world.”
White House calls out Trump biographer's fabricated stories on Iran war
Iranian citizens have reportedly formed ‘human chains’ to guard power plants amid the conflict, following orders from the military. When asked, the White House refuted Michael Wolff’s claims and said, “Michael Wolff is a lying sack of s— and has been proven to be a fraud. He routinely fabricates stories originating from his sick and warped imagination, only possible because he has a severe and debilitating case of Trump Derangement Syndrome that has rotted his peanut-sized brain.”
On Tuesday, as reported by The New York Times, Donald Trump threatened Iran that their “whole civilization” would be in danger if it did not listen.
