Sharon Stone Declares She 'Will Continue to Make a Life' in Hollywood

Sharon Stone is grateful for her successful career, though it doesn't mean it's always all rainbows and butterflies.

“I think that I lived is more than many of my predecessors did, and that really pissed off a lot of people,” the star, 65, said in a new interview with InStyle, adding that celebrities who become instantly famous don't always fare well (Britney Spears, Marilyn Monroe, etc.)

“We’re supposed to go crazy or we’re supposed to be drug addicts, but surprise, motherf------," she continued.

Sharon Stone spoke about her career in a new interview.

But the actress has been through her own share of struggles, including when she had reconstructive surgery back in the day. After doctors found a benign large tumor in both of her b-----, they removed them.

While recovering, her brain started bleeding and a stroke later occurred during her marriage.

Sharon Stone said she 'will continue to make a life' in Hollywood.

“I sometimes was forgetting lines, and I would just say that I was in menopause,” Stone said. “I didn’t say, ‘My brain is still healing.’ I never wanted anyone to think I had any kind of disability. All I did was sleep and work.”

Sharon Stone spoke about the downsides of fame.

Now that Stone is in her sixties, she and model Elle Macpherson chat about their careers and what they went through.

“We sit and we talk because we’re growing into older ladies together,” Stone said. “I talk to her about, ‘How do you stay fit? What are you doing with yourself? How do you deal with people’s reactions to you?’”

When she recently got an offer to do a movie, she wasn't super interested in the role.

“It would be me and one of these young, hot guys having an illicit affair,” she said. “She just takes him out. She loses it. But I was thinking, 'God, they want me to do another nude s-- movie? Am I ever not going to be ‘The Body?'"

Still, Stone has had amazing opportunities come to her.

“Will I make enough money to stay living where I’m living? Probably not,” she said when asked how she defines success. “But the kids will leave home and go to college, and I’ll sell my big, fancy house, and I’ll go live like a normal person.”

“I will continue to make a life,” she added. “I do have something to say.”
