Republican Senator Ted Cruz has called out Druski, a popular social media influencer, whose recent skit seemingly mocked Turning Point USA (TPUSA) CEO Erika Kirk.

On Thursday, March 26, Cruz took to his account on X and reposted a video by Druski, whose real name, according to The Mirror U.S., is Drew Desbordes. In the video, the 31-year-old is seen transforming into a white, blonde woman with the help of makeup, costume and prosthetics. The influencer portrayed a character who, many netizens believe, resembled Erika Kirk.

Druski’s Viral Parody Video

Druski acted out several scenes as a white conservative woman, including a patriotic rally, a drive-through coffee order and a faith testimony. He also included a scene where he addressed a fake press conference, saying, "We have to protect all men in America, especially all white men in America."

Erika recently went viral for saying something similar when she joined Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders at a press conference, announcing the expansion of TPUSA's Club America chapters into high schools and colleges across the state.

Wonderwall reports that while speaking at the event, Erika told the audience, "Don't let anyone disenfranchise you because you're a young man, especially a young white male man. Don't ever let anyone talk down to you." The video quickly went viral on the internet, with many users turning her phrase "a young white male man" into memes.

In yet another scene, Druski's character is seen dancing and jumping amid pyrotechnics, reminding social media users of Kirk's appearance at her late conservative husband Charlie Kirk's memorial service.

Social Media Reacts to Cruz Slamming Druski

Viewers believed that Druski's skit titled "How Conservative Women in America act" was a parody of 37-year-old Erika.

Texas Senator Cruz shared the video, which had already garnered millions of views across social media platforms like X, Instagram and TikTok. He slammed the influencer's sketch, captioning his post, "Beneath contempt." Far-right influencer Laura Loomer also reacted to Cruz's post and commented, "Depraved."

Others supporting Druski brought up an old X post of Cruz where he said that "The Left hates comedy." Another user hit back, saying, "Comedy is legal again, and the conservatives are crying about it." Someone else wrote, "Don't lie. You laughed. Get over it." One person believed the sketch was an "accurate portrayal of events."

Other users slammed Druski, who is a Black American, for using makeup to play a white character, drawing comparisons with the racist practice of "blackface" where white people used exaggerated makeup, burned cork and shoe polish to portray caricatures of a Black person.

"This opens black face for everyone btw," wrote one person. "Beyond the blatant racism, you're mocking a widow who had her husband assassinated in front of the world. Imagine a white person dressing up as a 'black liberal women' to mock them and posting it on the internet," commented another user. "Does this mean I can put on blackface and mock MLK's widow (?)" asked another.

Meanwhile, Erika has not issued a response to Druski's sketch. The mother of two has been under the spotlight and constant public scrutiny ever since the assassination of her husband, Charlie, in September 2025.
