Prince Harry fears that his kids are missing out on life as a royal.
Prince Harry Feels Archie and Lilibet Are Missing Out
Prince Harry is reportedly reflecting on the distance between his children and the rest of the royal family after new birthday photos of Princess Charlotte were posted on the Prince William and Kate Middleton's social media pages recently.
According to the Daily Mail, Harry is emotional because his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are growing up far away from the community and close-knit family ties of their cousins and other royal family in the UK.
Prince Harry Reflects on Children Missing Royal Family Life
Prince Harry reportedly misses his niece and nephews and wishes his kids knew them.
The photos were released as Princess Charlotte turned 11 years old and showed her outdoors with the family dogs, and enjoying time in nature. They impacted Prince Harry as he saw his niece and had a glimpse into her home life.
A longtime friend of Harry reportedly told journalist Richard Eden that the duke was affected by the separation between his children and the royal family.
“Archie and Lili are having a lovely time in California, but Harry is very sad that they are missing out on life with the rest of their family,” the source reportedly said.
The insider added that Harry believes that his kids are missing the "extensive family network" that their cousins enjoy in Britain. Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis all attend Lambrook School in England and they are growing up with their royal relatives and they are also participating in family traditions that have been passed on through the years.
Apparently, Harry also wants Archie and Lilibet to have the same type of lifelong friendships he made when he went to Ludgrove and Eton schools.

However, Harry's longing for his children to reconnect with their royal roots may soon be a thing of the past, In Touch Weekly reports.
Even though the rift between Harry and William remains, the future king has seemingly agreed that the children can meet later this year after King Charles III and Kate Middleton encouraged the meeting.
“Now that the cousins are getting older, it’s becoming harder to justify keeping them apart,” an insider explained.
Kate has apparently been keen that the children connect and get to know each other, even as William remains distant from Harry personally.
Harry and William's rift continues despite reconciliation attempts
According to Harry's memoir, Spare, the rift between him and his brother had started even before Megxit. However, when he and Meghan Markle stepped back from royal duties at the beginning of 2020, they didn't know that the fallout would be so great.
Harry and Meghan relocated to California, and have never quite made it back into the royal graces with William especially. Reports suggest that Harry has tried to bridge the divide between him and his father, and they had a meeting in 2025. But, apparently William has shut down reconciliation efforts with his brother.
Former royal butler, Grant Harrold, recently said that even though there has been tension between the adults, "the issues have never been with the children."
And now, the growing focus on Archie, Lilibet, George, Charlotte, and Louis has become the emotional heartbeat of the continuing royal family story.
