Nicki Minaj Accused of Wanting Something From Trump

President Donald Trump and Nicki Minaj's relationship has been making news headlines for many reasons, but one Trump insider claims that the rapper is not backing the president for personal gain.

Political strategist Alex Bruesewitz, who has helped Trump connect with celebrities during the last two years. defended the rapper after rumors surfaced about Minaj only supporting Trump because she wanted pardons or other favors.

Bruesewitz told TMZ that Minaj “has never asked the president for anything.”

There has been a lot of speculation about why Nicki Minaj, who previously was very vocal about not supporting Trump, has suddenly aligned with him over the last year. It only increased when Linda Perry voiced her own theory.

The musician suggested that she may have “wanted something from The Office,” fueling online debate about Minaj's switch.

The 4 Non Blondes singer went on to say that Minaj may have been "trying to maybe help herself, a friend, a boyfriend" and that she could have been "promised something and it was worth the risk."

She added, "If my best friend or someone in my family needed something and I had to go begging and groveling to somebody to get it to happen, I probably would’ve made a bad judgement as well."

Perry also urged her fans not to judge Minaj for her perceived decisions "and make her feel worse than she probably already does.”

However, Bruesewitz came out bat swinging.

“This is a disgusting and disgraceful smear that every Democrat and Trump critic is spreading about Nicki Minaj,” he wrote on X.

He continued, “Nicki has never once asked the President for anything. She has only offered assistance and support.”

“The insinuation that she's looking for anything in return is total garbage.”

According to Bruesewitz, as far as discussions about presidential pardons or financial requests go, it “have never been brought up or even referenced by her or anybody.”

He also doubled down when he stated, “No conversation about a pardon has taken place. No conversation about financial payments has taken place.”

Bruesewitz would not let Perry's statement go unchallenged and defended Minaj fiercely.

Minaj backing Trump has been one of the more surprising relationships over the last few years. And while fans and naysayers have been vocal about her sudden stance, the rapper has remained unwavering in her support of the 47th president.

Recently, Minaj said many celebrities secretly support Trump but that she's one of the few who has been brave enough to step up and confirm where her loyalties lie.

Minaj claims that other celebs fear backlash and therefore have remained quiet about their political ties.

Bruesewitz argued that some are simply struggling to accept that influential celebrities like Minaj may not align politically with what Hollywood normally expects..

He also praised Minaj’s staying power and fan loyalty, saying she spent decades building a genuine audience rather than becoming an “astroturfed” celebrity.

According to Radar Online, Bruesewitz insists the relationship between Trump and Minaj goes beyond politics.

“Nicki and Trump are legitimate friends,” he said.
