‘Makes Me Sick’: Lara Trump Faces Backlash Over Secret Service Detail at NYC Dog Park

Lara Trump recently posted a cheerful video from New York City where she was seen cuddling dogs at a park.

However, while she probably expected people to focus on her love for dogs and parks, the video instead irked the internet over the presence of heavy security around her.

The video shows her chatting about dog parks, petting adorable pups and talking about hanging out at the place without owning a dog.

As she shared the video online, netizens called her out for the presence of security personnel around her.

This video even led people to compare Lara to Kai Trump’s recent outing which sparked similar backlash.

After the Fox News host shared the video on social media, some viewers said they found the security presence disproportionate for a casual outing.

"Watching every single member of the Trump family go everywhere with 6 Secret Service agents makes me sick," one user wrote on X.

Another netizen weighed in, pointing out, "I don't remember ever seeing a president's GRANDKIDS having [Secret Service] protection. Honestly? I don't even remember their adult kids having this. These people will find a way to grift EVERYTHING."

Some users also referenced Lara's previous attempts at a music career.

One user mockingly wrote, "Are you forgetting that she's an incredible music star? She's the new Dolly Parton. She'll soon be starring in the movie The Grifter's Daughter-In-Law."

Following Lara's viral social media post, she not only faced criticism, but also got compared to President Donald Trump's granddaughter Kai, who was previously called out for her Secret Service-escorted Erewhon visit.

Last month, the 18-year-old posted a video of her visit to the luxury grocery store Erewhon on YouTube, where she was seen roaming around with her Secret Service detail.

While she called the Los Angeles-based chain “the most expensive grocery store,” people were fixated on the heavy security that she carried around the store.

While the video garnered around 7,06,380 views since it was first published on March 8, many voiced their opinions on her trip and labeled it tone-deaf amid rising grocery and gas prices following the Iran war.
