Lara Trump sat down with Katie Miller for the April 21 episode of the Katie Miller Pod. Eric Trump's wife discussed the Trump family dynamic, including candid remarks her marriage to Donald Trump's son.

She also talked about how younger individuals nowadays are giving high importance to family in their lives. According to reports, her candid assessment of Ivanka Trump has sparked conversation about relationships within the Trump family.

During the podcast, the mom of two revealed that Ivanka gives the most unsolicited advice, saying, "Maybe Ivanka. I feel like she wants to help. Like, she always means so well. But, you know, it's okay. We take it all in stride. It's all good."

Shedding light on her marriage with Eric Trump and their decision to have kids, she revealed that in her early years of marriage, she had differing views from her husband about starting a family.

Lara recalled how Eric raised the topic of children about a year after they wed, "I remember after Eric and I got married, it was like a year in, and he goes, 'Alright, well, we need to figure out about having a kid." She then said how shocked she was, stating, "And I was like ... 'Wait a minute, already?"

Lara says Eric wants a third kid

Sharing her husband's love for kids and the desire to expand their family further, Trump laughed and told Miller, "Eric would say, 'Why didn't we have a third?' He's still on that train, but that one's probably left the station for me."

The couple has two sons. Her first son, Eric Luke Trump, was born on September 12, 2017, in New York City. Less than two years later, the couple welcomed a daughter on August 19, 2019. They named her Carolina Dorothy Trump. However, her remarks drew comparisons to comments made by Second Lady Usha Vance about the couple's decision to have a fourth child.

During an interview with NBC News anchor Kate Snow, Usha Vance shared her thoughts on why they decided to have another child with her husband, JD Vance. In January, the Vances announced they were expecting their fourth child. The couple has two sons, Ewan, 8, and Vivek, 6, along with a daughter, Mirabel, who is 4 years old.

The second lady reflected on her husband's popular remark, where he claimed that he "convinced" her to become pregnant once more, Today reported.

In March, Vance said at a Michigan event, "I remember when we decided to run for vice president, I said, ‘Honey, I really want to have a fourth kid. And she said, ‘Well, you can become vice president or you can have a fourth baby.' But, ladies and gentlemen, I am persuasive because I got both.”

Reflecting on his remarks, Mrs. Vance laughed and stated that her husband did, indeed, convince her to consider having another child. “I grew up in a family of two. And I thought that was a great number. And then I had two kids, and I thought — I didn’t feel quite done, right?. So I really wanted to have a third child", she stressed.
