President Donald Trump attacked a political opponent late at night by resharing a post on Truth Social. Eisen, who served as Barack Obama's ethics czar, was the subject of Trump's late-night post.

Sharing a screengrab from the post by the X user who made an unverified claim about Eisen, Trump stated, “Norm Eisen is a major Sleazebag. You don’t get much lower than him.”

Self-Proclaimed Conspiracy Theorist Takes a Dig at Norm Eisen

Self-proclaimed conspiracy theorist drags Norm Eisen's name into a scandal.

The post, shared by X user Liz Churchill, who describes herself as a conspiracy theorist, tried to bring out a connection between Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts and Eisen.

Churchill’s post read, “SHOCKING SCOTUS BETRAYAL.” The post referenced an op-ed by attorney and Fox News legal analyst Jonathan Turley, in which Turley argued that, “Chief Justice Roberts should call the FBI regarding the NYT LEAKS…”

Churchill also attempted to implicate Eisen in an alleged illegal scheme. Talking about the President’s fiercest legal foe, Churchill said, “Remember…Roberts is close with Obama’s friend, NORM EISEN…the Lawfare King and Colour Revolution Expert…who hosted him at his Prague Palace.”

Eisen had previously acknowledged wanting to spend time with Roberts when he was working as a diplomat in the Czech Republic. The former Czech Republic ambassador under Obama had told the Pantsuit Nation podcast in May 2024 that he thought, “corruption has crept into the Supreme Court,” but Roberts is not corrupt.”

Discussing his relationship with the chief justice, Eisen said, “I know the chief justice well. He stayed when I was ambassador, stayed under my roof, came and spent a week with us. We worked on American and European rule of law issues together.”

Trump's resharing of Churchill's post effectively amplified an unverified claim linking Eisen to the Roberts controversy.

The New York Times reported on Supreme Court deliberations using sources in the court. However, there were no mentions of Eisen or any kind of his illicit association or influence over John Roberts.

Norm Eisen’s Jibe at Donald Trump

Donald Trump's legal foe, Norm Eisen was serving as the former ambassador to Prague under Barack Obama.

However, the ethics czar to Barack Obama was quick to hit back at the president for his late-night jibe at him. Speaking with The Daily Beast, Eisen claimed that Donald Trump was “rattled” by the actions of the watchdog organization that he was a part of, which is the Democracy Defenders Fund and Democracy Defenders Action.

Hitting back at Trump, Eisen said, “There is a massive, people-powered resistance to Trump’s authoritarian agenda, and I’m proud to be part of it. It’s no surprise that Donald Trump is rattled.”

Norm Eisen added that the organizations are “fighting back against his abuses of power through over 300 legal cases and matters-and winning.” He also accused the President of allegedly wasting the taxpayers’ money.

The former Prague ambassador added, “If he’s this upset, he should stop illegally profiting off the American people, spending their tax dollars on monuments to himself, and trampling their rights.” Apart from this, Trump's late-night activity extended to criticism of the Supreme Court as well, including the conservative judges he had himself nominated after they failed to sustain all of his positions.
