“I have dreams now that I didn’t even know that I had,” the country star, 31, shared. “At the end of the day, awards are nice and you love that recognition — it’s a gift, I accept it — but I can’t let that be the thing that drives me.”

Though the blonde beauty has already gotten to be on the small screen, she's not stopping anytime soon. “Even when it comes to the acting stuff, I want to dabble in that a little bit more,” she noted. “When I think of the kinds of careers I want to have, I think of Reba [McEntire] and she’s not scared to do all of it.”

Wilson isn't slowing down anytime soon, as she performed her hit song "Country's Cool Again" at the CMT Music Awards on April 7.

“It’s so cool to see people love the way that I grew up,” she said. “Not even talking about country music, just the Western way of life. It is really cool to see people wanna wear a cowboy hat and ride a horse.”

“The thing is, you don’t have to ride a horse to be a cowgirl… it’s about the ones that are holdin’ on and paving the way and celebrating each other," she continued, referring to growing up in Louisiana.

Lainey Wilson wants to continue acting.

While speaking with Glamour earlier this year, Wilson admitted she knew she was special.

"What’s really crazy is I feel like I’ve always had a weird feeling that this is where it was going to end up. I’m a firm believer in speaking it and believing it, and I have put it out into the universe and I have talked to God about it a million times. Sometimes I think you have to pretend to be something that you’re not," she said.

"It’s been a journey, though. I’ve been in Nashville for 12 years, but nothing happened for me until year seven when I finally signed a publishing deal and year eight when I signed a record deal. I saw people and new friends who had just moved to town signing deals left and right. No part of me ever wanted to take it away from them, but I wanted it myself. I had faith that my time was coming. Everybody’s timing looks different," she concluded.
