Jennifer Lopez Takes a Swipe at Ben Affleck With Her Relationship Status Reveal: 'I've Been Doing It All Wrong':

Jennifer Lopez appeared to take a subtle swipe at her ex-husband Ben Affleck during a TV appearance. While promoting her upcoming Netflix film Office Romance, the singer revealed that she deeply regrets not embracing the single life much sooner.

On Wednesday's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, host Jimmy Kimmel questioned her if she is single right now. "You are single right now?" he said, to which JLo laughed and replied, "Yes! I am. I should have done it sooner. I've been doing it all wrong. Trust me."

When Jimmy jokingly asked 'Would you consider becoming the next Bachelorette here on ABC?', Jennifer shut down the idea immediately, according to The Daily Mail.

"No, are you crazy? I'm not doing anything to ruin how I feel right now. No, it's fantastic. I can't. I can never. No, I can't do it. No, I'm good. I'm good right now", she said.

Despite her firm stance on staying single for now, she remained hopeful about the future, adding, "I'll meet somebody, somewhere one day. If they are good enough."

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck share a long and complicated romantic history that has lasted more than 20 years. The well-known couple met each other and fell in love in 2002 during the filming of the movie Gigli, but soon became a target for Hollywood tabloids. They got engaged later that year, but surprisingly canceled their wedding in 2004 because of intense public pressure and media attention.

After being separated for almost 20 years and getting married to other people, they shocked everyone by reuniting in 2021. In 2022, they officially got married in Las Vegas. Nonetheless, their love story did not last long.

After months of rumors and speculation regarding their differing lifestyles, Jennifer filed for divorce in August 2024. The divorce was officially finalized in January 2025, as per The Cut.
