The third month in Nancy Guthrie’s kidnapping case has taken an unforeseen twist that nobody saw coming. An anonymous individual has sent messages, claiming that they know about the immediate whereabouts of the 84-year-old. But before they share her location, the individual has presented a ransom to share the crucial information.
The messages come just days after Savannah Guthrie’s emotional interview, begging the abductors to return their mother to them. The investigators continue to investigate the person behind the messages, as the search for Guthrie continues.
Individual Demands Bitcoin in Exchange for Nancy Guthrie’s Location
According to TMZ, an anonymous person has sent messages that claim they know where Nancy Guthrie is. The sender had allegedly stated that they not only know where she is but also who is behind her disappearance. The report stated that the claims were sent through a series of messages to media outlets, demanding cryptocurrency to provide the invaluable information.
An anonymous individual sent two ransom notes regarding the Nancy Guthrie case.
Harvey Levin, the founder of TMZ, said that they received another email from this mysterious individual, writing, “I know where her body is, and who the kidnapper is, give me half a bitcoin and I'll tell you.” The note also mentioned that Nancy Guthrie is “dead.” They claimed that this mail was from the same person who had been ready to snitch on the kidnappers for nearly two months.
They claim that they demand one bitcoin, and they will “deliver them on a silver platter,” is still on the table. After they read the first note, they received another letter, which read, “I Saw her alive with them in the state of Sonora Mexico.” The first note also showcased the sender’s disappointment at the ongoing investigation, where millions have been spent.
They added, “I am disregarded as a scam ... they are free and the case is frozen but the ego's remain hot when it comes to me. Arrogance at it's finest.” The person clarified in the second note that they are not motivated by greed, they just want half a bitcoin to start their life quietly again.
Former FBI Agent Highlights Crucial Information in New Ransom Note
Ex-FBI agent talks about the mysterious individual.
Following the ransom note to TMZ, Jennifer Coffindaffer, a former FBI agent, tweeted on X, wondering if Sheriff Nanos was not supportive of Madres Buscadoras, who were looking for Nancy Guthrie in Arizona. She added, “The ransom note sender mentions Sonora, not that I am putting credence in their words.”
In another tweet, she said the FBI can’t trace the sender, who sent the ransom notes to TMZ. She called the actions “disappointing.” Coffindaffer added, “I explained why Porch Guy has left the FBI and private industry partners stupefied.” However, she still hopes for a miracle that will help the investigators trace the mystery sender.
