Pam Bondi’s termination diverts the spotlight to her boyfriend’s personal life
“First Woman Ever To Be Fired as Attorney General” Pam Bondi Mocked on SNL as Her Personal Life Sparks Curiosity
After three former FBI agents filed a lawsuit against the F.B.I. director, Kash Patel, and Attorney General Pam Bondi for attempting to publicly disparage and defame the agents, Bondi seemingly lost her job. On Thursday, she was terminated by Donald Trump, following a string of high-profile controversies, internal disagreements, and political pressure.
Her termination comes just weeks after Trump fired another woman in his administration, Kristi Noem. Now, as the secretary of Homeland Security’s firing exposed her husband, Byron Noem’s bizarre double life, netizens are wondering if Bondi’s termination would witness a similar outcome.
Pam Bondi’s Firing Makes Her Personal Life Vulnerable
After Kristi Noem was fired following a myriad of controversies, downfall over ICE, and Corey Lewandowski rumors, her husband's double life was exposed by The Daily Mail. Bryon Noem was called out for being active on online fetish forums and dressing up as a busty bimbo.
Since Noem's termination shifted the spotlight to her personal life, people are wondering if Pam Bondi's firing would lead to a similar situation. Now that Bondi has been let go of her position as Attorney General, attention has shifted to her personal life with her boyfriend, John Wakefield.
As a photo of Bondi and Wakefield went viral on Threads, the internet quickly turned curious, with users questioning Wakefield and his life behind the scenes. Although the image showed the couple attending an event in Ireland, dressed formally and smiling, people wondered if Wakefield is hiding a secret behind closed doors like Mr. Noem.
“Nothing he does behind closed doors is gonna be worse than being married to Pam Bondi,” replied one Threads user. Another user wrote, “Nice looking guy, does he like balloons too?” Some even said, “To be with her?! Has to be some sick s—t,” Others simply asked, “There’s a Mr Bondi … ??
The Former Attorney General Brutally Mocked on SNL
SNL openly mocked Pam Bondi after her termination.
Following her termination and people being fixated over her boyfriend's possible double life, Pam Bondi faced intense mockery on SNL. As the comedy show once again mixed politics with humor, it fired its shots at Bondi in a sketch by comedian Ashley Padilla, who played the role of the teary but confident version of the Attorney General.
The skit began like an NCAA March Madness broadcast, where Kenan Thompson appeared as basketball legend Charles Barkley and didn’t hold back. He criticized Bondi’s performance harshly, saying she was “terrible” at her job, while also adding that it’s never easy to see someone get fired.
“Now I'm going to choose my words very carefully here,” Thompson said as Barkley. “As Attorney General Pam Bondi was, and I don't say this often, terrible. It is a shame when somebody gets fired, but we should all be glad that that freckle-chested dragon lady is gone.”
Soon enough Padilla’s Bondi appeared onscreen to respond with sarcasm, saying she was proud of “making history” and joked about “shattering the glass exit door.” “Hello, gentlemen. It’s so great to be here at the Final Four… years of this country,” she said.
“The truth is, I was amazing at my job and I am proud to say I made history as the first woman ever to be fired as Attorney General,” she said. “I shattered that glass exit door.” She continued, “I'm so sorry. I just, I miss it already. And they threw my headshot in the trash like it was the Epstein files.”
