Erika Kirk Shares Emotional Anniversary Tribute to Charlie Kirk

Erika Kirk shared a video on what would have been her and Charlie Kirk's fifth wedding anniversary, and paid tribute to her late husband and their love. She also wrote a short message to him about how she would portray their marriage to their children that was emotional and heart wrenching.

The social media post quickly drew more than a million views and many took time to pen a short note to the widow after she shared one of her most personal public posts since his death.

Erika Kirk left her heart on the table when she posted a message on social media on Friday, May 8. On the day that would have been her fifth wedding anniversary, she reflected on the life that they built together and the memories their children will continue carrying forward.

“Even though our kids won’t see our love ‘grow old together’ from an earthly stand point; they’ll see it from a Heavenly one,” she wrote. “And I’ll tell them of our love story any moment I can. Happy Anniversary to the love of my life.”

She shared an accompanying video montage that featured moments from throughout their relationship, including Charlie Kirk’s proposal, their wedding, family time with their children, car rides, coffee runs and quiet everyday moments together.

Rather than focusing on politics, or big speeches, the video focused on the Kirk's family life and their relationship away from public events and big speeches.

Her offering soon drew attention from netizens across social media, where many flooded her post with messages of condolences, prayers, and anniversary wishes. Many also shared what an impact Charlie had made in their own lives, and how his death had affected them.

“Happy Anniversary, beautiful lady. I know Charlie is shining his love down upon you and your beautiful babies today,” one user wrote.

Another supporter commented, “He was truly the best of us.”

Others focused on the couple’s Christian faith, and echoed Erika Kirk's mentions of heaven, eternal love and family legacy.

“They will know and they will Love him like he is standing next to them,” another reply read.

Of course, there were critics who were still questioning the details about Charlie's final days, but the majority of those who responded were warm in their messages.

As Erika Kirk's tribute was re-shared, so was a post Charlie Kirk shared on their last anniversary in 2025.

"Today marks 4 years of being married to @MrsErikaKirk,” he wrote at the time. “Second to following Jesus, it's the best decision I've ever made. She is bold, smart, loyal, and beautiful. Happy anniversary, Erika. I love you."

This message took on new meaning after Erika's post, particularly because she wrote that their children would continue to learn about their parents' relationship through memories and stories.

As Erika takes time to remember Charlie on the day they exchanged vows, she's already trying to formulate how she's going to preserve his memory for their kids.
