President Donald Trump’s second term in office has involved several significant security threats and assassination attempts.

His son, Eric Trump, who accompanied the president on his trip to China, recently shared his thoughts on the multiple assassination attempts on the 79-year-old.

'Then They Tried to Kill Him Again'

Zeroing in on the July 2024 shooting incident in Butler, Pennsylvania, where a bullet grazed the upper part of Trump's right ear, Eric said, "It's a 130-yard shot. It’s an unmissable shot if you are even remotely competent with a rifle. G-d knows what would’ve happened to this country if they had killed him, which was obviously their intent."

Ivanka Trump Reacts to Pennsylvania Shooting Incident

The president's daughter, Ivanka Trump, broke down while talking about the 2024 shooting incident during an episode of The Diary of a CEO podcast.

She recalled, “There was a lot of commotion. The televisions were on, so I saw it almost immediately. I knew in real time in that moment that he was fine. I just knew it wasn’t his time. I was horrified and scared and protective of my children, but I also didn’t believe the worst possible outcome had transpired."

Multiple Security Breaches

Apart from the 2024 Pennsylvania incident, Trump has been subjected to other assassination attempts as well, during his second term at the Oval Office.

On September 15, 2024, at the West Palm Beach Golf Course, a Secret Service agent noticed a rifle barrel sticking out from the bushes at the course's border. This was found to be an attempted attack on the president.

The suspect, Ryan Routh, escaped the location but was later arrested. He was given a life sentence in February 2026, according to Al Jazeera.

He was armed and pretended to be a part of the team. The man, identified as Melvin Eng, was later revealed to have no designated position at the event.
