Kim Kardashian’s latest confession has sparked major health concerns and left medical experts alarmed.

The reality TV star recently admitted to consuming around 35 supplements a day to maintain her health and physical attributes.

However, some experts feel that this might heavily backfire on her, as the overconsumption of supplements might reportedly be harmful to the liver and kidneys.

Kim Kardashian's latest admission has sparked health concerns.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star revealed that she takes the supplements throughout the day at frequent intervals.

However, many medical experts believe that the consumption of excessive supplements, vitamins and herbal products might lead to kidney and liver complications.

Kardashian further stated on the podcast, “I take, probably, 35 supplements a day... I spread them out three times a day. I thought, okay, I can't do this fish oil anymore. I have pill fatigue. I have to stop these fish (oil supplements). Then, I got my bloodwork, and it was so evident that I stopped, and I had to start again."

A health-based insider who is fairly familiar with celebrity wellness programs in Hollywood told RadarOnline, “People assume supplements are harmless because they are sold over the counter, but the kidneys and liver still have to process every single pill. Even products promoted as healthy can become disastrous to the internal organs when taken in large amounts for years."

Another source said that even though The Kardashians star is extremely disciplined about her body and wellness, medical professionals believe that consuming excessive supplements can gradually damage one’s internal organs.

The insider said, “Kim is extremely disciplined about monitoring her body, but doctors increasingly warn that loading up on dozens of supplements daily can create long-term risks for internal organs, especially when multiple products are combined together."

Reportedly, research amongst medical institutions has also revealed that due to an increase in the extravagant wellness routines, especially amongst celebrities, the risk of supplement-related liver injuries is also increasing.

Kardashian also added that she would prefer to consume the nutrients using an IV drip instead of incessantly swallowing them.

She said, “The pills are just so big! I wish there were an IV drip I could do every day, and I would just do it on my way to work."

Known for taking care of their body, skin, and overall health as seen on their reality show, the Kardashian-Jenner clan monitors their health on a regular basis.

The American Horror Story actress said that she, along with the rest of the family, undergoes body scans to keep a check on their health.

Explaining the same, Kardashian said that she and her family members use a mobile DEXA scanning service to keep a check on their bone density levels.

The All’s Fair actress also divulged during an episode of The Kardashians last year that a full-body Prenuvo MRI scan revealed a minor brain aneurysm that doctors felt had existed within her system for years.

The mother of four said, “I did a Prenuvo scan, and they called me today, and they're like, 'Everything looks great. But you have an aneurysm in your brain. They're like, 'It's been there for like years. It was here a few years ago.”
