He was the second pick in the National Lacrosse League Entry Draft when the Minnesota Swarm selected him in 2012.
He then played for the Toronto Lacrosse Club for six years.
He lives in West Palm Beach, Florida, and has been working as a strategic client director at Palantir Technologies since July 2023, according to reports.

In January 2025, Martin shared a picture on her Instagram handle where she and Sorensen could be seen twinning in black and standing closely on a red carpet, with Sorensen's hand resting on Martin's waist.
