President Donald Trump shared a new Truth Social post on Monday that seemingly blamed Barack Obama for the ongoing conflict involving Iran.

Trump reposted an image that was first shared by WomenForTrump that showed Obama standing beside pallets of cash with the caption, “Don’t forget the one who funded Iran and caused this war to happen. OBAMA!”

The president didn't add a caption to the image and let the image speak for itself.

In 2016, the Obama administration made the controversial decision to pay Iran $400 million in cash payment to settle a failed arms before the Iranian Revolution even began.

Trump, like many critics of the agreement, say that Obama should not have paid the settlement because they believed that the payment could be seen as a ransom arrangement.

But, Obama officials have repeatedly denied the allegation made by the opposition.

Trump's latest post was his latest after a weekend where he dominated his Truth Social page with posts as negotiations between Washington and Tehran continued.

Trump re-posted a meme blaming Obama for the Iran conflict.

Trump's repost of the Obama meme came hours after he spent much of the weekend reposting a string of AI-generated political images and memes about Iran, his political opponents, and other talks.

Among the posts that the president shared on Sunday was an image showing former FBI Director James Comey, Obama, and several other political figures wearing orange prison jumpsuits holding up there names in the style of "The Brady Bunch." But in the center, the image was labeled, "The Shady Bunch."

“This is a bad (Sick!) group of people. Very destructive to our great Nation. Caused tremendous damage through Weaponization!” Trump wrote alongside the image.

Trump also shared an AI-generated image that seemed to show bombs dropping on Iranian ships. Along the top, was the word “Adios.”

The president's post come as his administration seems to be optimistic about negotiations that will bring the conflict to and end with Tehran.

Of course, Trump’s aggressive online messages and the White House’s calm, diplomatic tone differ from each other, leading to conversations about what is really going on.

Trump demands Middle East countries sign the Abraham Accords.

Trump said over the weekend that negotiations with Iran had become “much more professional and productive” as both sides are apparently trying to speed up the peace talks and the future of Iran’s nuclear program.

“The negotiations are proceeding in an orderly and constructive manner, and I have informed my representatives not to rush into a deal in that time is on our side,” Trump wrote Sunday.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio also told reporters the news that “significant progress” had been made and he even suggested that their discussions could prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, which is what the Trump administration has been saying is their goal.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian later said Tehran was prepared “to assure the world that we are not after a nuclear weapon,” although Iranian officials continued maintaining that the country has a right to nuclear technology.

In the meantime, when talks of Iran are not dominating, netizens have been speculating about the president's time of Truth Social.

Trump has made about 565 Truth Social posts during April alone, which is more than double the amount he made during April 2018, during his first term.
