According to the Irish Star, Leavitt shared the video on her X account, showing Trump greeting a DoorDash delivery driver named Sharron, who handed him two large bags of his favorite McDonald's meal.

Sharing the video, Leavitt also promoted the president’s NO Tax on Tips law in the caption of the post. She wrote, "President Trump just received a McDonald's delivery order from a DoorDash driver outside the Oval Office. Thanks to President Trump signing No Tax on Tips into law, Sharron is using the $11,000 in tips that she made last year to support her family.”

Karoline Leavitt shared a video promoting Donald Trump's No Tax on Tips law.

However, she was quickly criticized after sharing the post as social media users felt that the video was heavily “staged.”

The video had Trump answering the door outside the Oval Office to collect his DoorDash order. At one moment Trump said, “Look at this. This doesn't look staged, does it?" Sharron’s T-shirt also read, “DoorDash Grandma.” The woman further said, “They're all your favorites” while handing over the delivery to Trump.

The president took the opportunity to double down on his 'NO Tax on Tips law.' The video drew a largely negative response online and users began criticizing it and also called out Leavitt for the same.

A social media user said, “How sad is this, using a working-class woman for your propaganda.” Another user on X wrote, “the President of the United States ordered DoorDash to the Oval Office and made the press secretary tweet about it. Governing."

Another observer condemned the video strongly and wrote, “This is so stupid, with everything going on right now, he stages this slop and has a slop network broadcast it to please the audience he's losing, many Americans can’t afford groceries, let alone housing, but sure make a video of him DoorDashing McDonald's."

A sarcastic comment from a social media user read, “Gee, a rehearsed and recorded social media photo op. What a hero.” An X user chimed in, “So f------ dumb. Whoever orchestrated this publicity stunt should be fired."

Some of the social media users also pointed out a sad reality where middle-aged people like Sharron are being forced to work at DoorDash and Uber to support their families financially as gas prices and inflation allegedly continue to increase.

Another sarcastic comment by a social media user read, “That's great considering everyone now has to work two part-time jobs just to afford gas." Some users online also alleged that Sharron might not be a real DoorDash employee but instead a “paid actor” hired by the Trump administration to promote the administration's message.

This is not the first time that Leavitt received some major flak for her social media post. The 28-year-old White House Press Secretary who is currently expecting her second child with her husband, Nicholas Riccio, has been repeatedly called out for allegedly “spreading lies” to promote Trump and his MAGA policies.
