'Scared' Melania Trump Opened a ‘Can of Worms’ for Donald Trump Following Epstein Denial Speech: Analysts

Analysts and commentators are questioning the motivations behind First Lady Melania Trump's April 10 public statement denying ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

Some have suggested that the much-talked about address may have complicated the broader political situation surrounding the Epstein files.

During her April 10 speech, Melania refuted claims that she was introduced to her husband President Donald Trump by Epstein and denied having any knowledge about the criminal activities of the late s*x offender.

However, two analysts have now claimed that Melania's sudden speech about the disgraced financier may put Trump in an even tighter spot.

During an episode of the Court of History podcast, part of the Legal AF network, historians Sidney Blumenthal and Sean Wilentz discussed the first lady's April 10 press conference and speculated about her motivations.

The pair speculated that despite dismissing having any ties to Epstein, Melania allegedly does not feel comfortable with her public statement.

Blumenthal described the press conference as a "can of worms" that Melania had opened.

He then quoted one of Melania's statements from the speech: "I never been friends with Epstein. Donald and I were invited to the same parties as Epstein from time to time since overlapping in social circles."

Wilentz said, "Why is she so scared? That's the only question I have."

He claimed that Trump had escalated tensions in the Middle East in part to divert public attention from the Epstein files and questioned why Melania chose to make such an unprompted public statement.

"Something is bugging her. She knows that something's coming. Obviously, something must be coming, or she wouldn't have done this," Wilentz said.

Blumenthal noted that Melania's past also involved an alleged attempt to purchase a modeling firm with Epstein and another business partner, though the details of that relationship remain unclear.

Blumenthal then drew a comparison to a scene in The Godfather Part II, in which a character denies the existence of a crime family.

"Instead of singing, she's clamming up," he said.

While the analysts try to decode the intention behind the first lady’s public statement, an astrologer has predicted a turbulent period ahead for the first couple.

According to CasinoHawks, astrologer and psychic Inbaal Honigman said that Melania's astrological chart indicates a challenging period ahead.

"Melania's Sun is not her only Taurus placement. She also has Mercury, planet of communication, Venus, planet of love, as well as Saturn, planet of discipline, in Taurus," Honigman said.

Honigman claimed that Melania is "due to experience a challenging period" in her love life.

"This love planet means that Taureans like Melania are graceful, romantic, elegant and home-loving," she said.

Honigman said that Venus will enter retrograde on October 3, 2026, for the first time since April 2025.

"On that date, initially Venus stations retrograde in the secretive sign of Scorpio. Between October 3, 2026, and October 25, 2026, Melania will come face to face with some uncomfortable truths in her love life," she said.

Honigman added that during this period "the past creeps into the present, so historic accusations can find their way to the headlines again," and that Melania Trump may face renewed questions about her marriage.
