Pete Davidson Called Kim Kardashian "Superhuman" Years After Their Split — and Said Watching Her Succeed Taught Him Something

It's been nearly four years since Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian called it quits, but if there's one thing that's clear, it's that the comedian still has a lot of respect for his famous ex. During a recent episode of The Pete Davidson Show, the King of Staten Island star surprised fans by speaking openly about Kardashian and her growing success in Hollywood.

“Isn’t it crazy Kim’s good at acting?” Davidson asked guest Nikki Glaser while discussing Kardashian's latest career moves. The comedian then recalled a conversation from their relationship that now seems almost prophetic. “I remember when we were dating, one day she was just like, ‘I think I’m gonna be an actress.’ And I was just like, ‘F–- yeah!’ And then [she’s] just good at it and I’m like, ‘Get the f–- out of here.’ She’s so good at acting.”

After making her acting debut on American Horror Story: Delicate in 2023, Kardashian continued expanding her Hollywood résumé with a leading role in Hulu's All's Fair. She's also set to star in and produce Netflix comedy The Fifth Wheel, which happens to feature Glaser as well. The comedian couldn't stop singing Kardashian's praises.

“Anything she wants to do, she will do it,” Glaser said. “especially if people are like, ‘You can’t do this.’ And for her to go into acting with all the public perception of her anyway, she knew … everyone’s gonna look for her to fail.” Glaser suggested that pursuing acting while aware of public skepticism requires significant resolve.

The comedian went further, describing Kardashian as "superhuman" and saying watching her ignore criticism was one of the most significant things he took away from their relationship. “Like, she don’t [sic] give a f–k. It’s unbelievable,” Davidson mused.

The heartfelt comments come years after the pair's whirlwind romance captured headlines around the world. Kardashian and Davidson dated for nine months between October 2021 and August 2022 following her divorce from Kanye West. The relationship was not without controversy — the couple faced significant public attention, complicated by Kardashian's ongoing divorce proceedings from Kanye West at the time.

Still, when the romance ended, insiders insisted there was no animosity between them. According to Page Six, “Kim and Pete have decided to just be friends,” at the time. “They have a lot of love and respect for each other, but found that the long distance and their demanding schedules made it really difficult to maintain a relationship.”

Davidson's comments on the show represent one of the more generous public assessments of a former partner in recent celebrity media — and they suggest the split left no lasting bitterness on his side.
