Lauren Sánchez's fashion sense has significantly changed in recent years, showing a drastic shift from her time as a TV news anchor to evolving into a red-carpet sensation and a fashionable risk-taker.

The Emmy-winning journalist, children’s book author, and businesswoman, who is married to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, has constantly attracted attention at major events, showcasing a distinctive style characterized by alluring silhouettes, shimmer, and striking designer selections.

Sánchez has also faced criticism for outfits deemed inappropriate for the events she attended. According to many reports, her fashion has often been considered risque and daring for sophisticated gatherings. Critics have described her looks as bold and striking but sometimes lacking warmth. Her sleek, body-hugging dresses consistently set her apart from others.

Her outfit choices at Trump's inauguration and at a Washington awards dinner have both drawn significant criticism.

1- Revealing lacy white bra at Trump inauguration

People reported that Sánchez's inauguration look drew criticism, with some calling it "incredibly inappropriate." She was among a group of prominent figures including Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg spotted at the U.S. Capitol. Beneath the blazer, Lauren wore a lacy corset that many social media users considered unsuitable for a formal event.

Reacting to her outfit, one user wrote, “Jeff Bezos future wife Lauren Sanchez is incredibly inappropriately dressed for a state occasion. Someone should have told her that having her white lace bra out on display is not acceptable.” Another said, “Lauren Sánchez is wearing a corset bra under her jacket. Wild outfit for the Trump inauguration.”

One more chimed in, “Lauren Sánchez’s outfit for the inauguration of the President of the United States is downright appalling. A white suit paired with a lingerie overload lace bodysuit is not only inappropriate but outright disrespectful for such a monumental and historically significant event.”

In an April 2026 interview with The New York Times, Sánchez said she believed her inauguration outfit was conservative and felt "super proud" of her look. "I get it. No lace at the White House. Noted," she said to the publication.

2- Skin-baring red corset gown at State dinner

In April 2024, Sánchez attended a state dinner with Jeff Bezos honoring Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife, Yuko. For the event, Sánchez donned a striking red corset dress that distinguished her from the modestly attired attendees. While the White House did not specify a dress code, state dinners traditionally require black tie attire.

Her $2,300 Rasario gown had an off-the-shoulder neckline and a fitted corset bodice adorned with sheer lace at the midsection. She complemented the tight outfit with shiny open-toe heels, a silver clutch bag, and diamond earrings. Her shoulder-length hair was styled straight, complemented by a smoky eye and natural lip color.

Lauren previously wore a tight, red lace gown to a 2024 White House dinner.

Sánchez addressed the criticism in her New York Times interview, saying she cannot truly hide her curves regardless of her clothing choices. "It's the shape of my body," she told the publication. "Is someone going to give me a gunnysack and ask me to put a belt on it and cinch it? I'm Latin. I'm Latin. I'm Latin."
