‘Misleading You’: Sources Shut Down Claims About Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s Lawsuit Settlement

After more than a year of public and legal clashes, Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have settled their dispute before it reached a federal trial.

The actress previously accused Baldoni of s*xual harassment, following their work in the film It Ends With Us.

The duo released a joint statement on Monday, May 4, saying that they are ready to move forward and put the conflict behind them.

However, reports claim that no money was exchanged as part of the agreement, and the situation is not entirely dealt with.

According to Variety, Lively and Baldoni may have settled a major part of their dispute, but the legal battle is still not completely over.

While it's been reported that no money was exchanged between the former co-stars, Lively still has a pending motion seeking attorneys’ fees and damages linked to Baldoni’s failed defamation lawsuit.

Sources close to the matter noted, “Anyone purporting to confirm the terms of the confidential settlement at this point is misleading you. More information about this confidential settlement will be on the court’s docket in the coming days.”

Lively previously accused Wayfarer Studios of illegal retaliation after she accused Baldoni of sexual harassment. She agreed to drop her three remaining claims against the studio and its publicists on May 4.

This decision helped both Lively and Baldoni to avoid a federal trial that was scheduled to begin on May 18.

So far, it has been reported that most of Lively’s earlier allegations had already been dismissed last month.

By settling the issue now, both parties avoided spending millions on a lengthy court trial while still leaving some legal issues unresolved.

According to Good Morning America, Lively and Baldoni’s joint statement read, "The end product, the movie It Ends With Us, is a source of pride to all of us who worked to bring it to life. Raising awareness and making a meaningful impact in the lives of domestic violence survivors and all survivors is a goal that we stand behind.”

Meanwhile, Lively made a striking appearance at Met Gala just hours after settling her legal dispute with Baldoni.

The actress drew attention by walking the red carpet with her pastel-toned gown and dazzling confidence.

The outfit featured shades of peach, purple and yellow, along with a bejeweled bodice and a long flowing train.

Overall, Lively’s 2026 Met Gala look reminded many of her Statue of Liberty-inspired outfit from the 2022 gala.

In addition to her recent legal developments, Lively's Met Gala appearance also comes as her latest film, Another Simple Favour (2025), begins streaming on Prime Video.

The film, directed by Paul Feig, reunites Lively with co-star Anna Kendrick.

Amid Lively's Met Gala surprise, fans also noticed that the actress’ husband, Ryan Reynolds, was missing from the event.
