According to the Irish Star, after cracking the repeated joke about his wife being a “movie star”, Trump asked Melania whether she would like to say a few words. However, the First Lady had a rough start to the same where she could be seen trying to adjust the microphone at an appropriate level before she could begin speaking.

After she was unsuccessful with the same, the FLOTUS gave up on her struggle with the microphone and said, “Happy Easter Monday. I hope you enjoy this beautiful day. We are celebrating a very special Easter Egg Roll this year because it's the 250th birthday of this beautiful nation. Enjoy it and I hope you have a wonderful day."

Melania Trump’s awkward blunder at the 2026 White House Easter Egg Roll event came amid rumors of her husband being admitted to a hospital. Speculations started doing the rounds over the weekend that the POTUS was admitted to the Walter Reed Army National Medical Center.

The rumors started after the White House authorities revealed on Saturday, April 4, 2026 that the President would not be making any public appearances after 11:08 am. Soon after that, Donald Trump was spotted on Sunday, April 5, 2026 in the back of a black SUV which was parked at Memorial Circle where it was said that he suggested building an arch to celebrate the country’s 250th anniversary.

Not only did the White House slam the speculations by totally rubbishing them but the President also called out Americans who helped spread rumors about him and called them, “sick” with a post on X.

The post said, “What we experienced in the last 24 hours from the Left was nothing short of demonic. While President Trump was working all day on a critical mission to rescue an American pilot, the left ran a massive campaign pushing the lie that he was dead."

A MAGA loyalist reacted to the post and wrote, “We need a complete investigation into who paid for and coordinated these posts. Every account involved should be fully demonetized on X."

Trump had visited the Walter Reed Army National Medical Center in October last year for an MRI scan. Bragging about his medical reports, the President revealed to the reporters onboard the Air Force One, “I did. I got an MRI. It was perfect.”

However, he refrained from revealing the reason behind him needing the scan which is usually required to assess some issues physically. The President continued to call himself hale and hearty where he said, “The doctor said [it] was some of the best reports, for the age, they've ever seen.”
