In addition, instead of a traditional bouquet, Melania carried a rosary with white roses wrapped around her hand as a tribute to her family. The choice was both meaningful and practical, which also avoided adding weight to an already 60-pound dress, priced at $100,000 at the time.
According to CNN, a few months after her wedding, the former Slovenian model said she had a "great time in Paris" while attending fashion shows. She even gushed over her wedding dress, stating she “loved” it.

Marla reportedly wore a simple Carolina Herrera dress with a fountain-like veil placed high on her head. According to Vanity Fair, Marla was so eager to marry Trump that she even bought her wedding dress while traveling with him. Trump asked his mother at the time, “I’m going to have to make a decision about Marla...what should I do?” He further asserted, “She stuck by me through the worst. She's been loyal. The obvious decision is to marry her.”
Despite their differences, both weddings reflected the high-profile world Trump inhabits. While the first lady went with a full-dramatic princess look, Maples kept it understated. Both women have continued to evolve in their fashion choices since their respective marriages.
The former Slovenian model continues to embrace highwiend fashion and has become known for glamorous statement outfits. Meanwhile, Maples has adopted a more relaxed, understated style since her divorce from Trump in 1999.
