Matthew Perry’s Estate Set to Auction Over 100 Personal Belongings
Matthew Perry's estate will auction his personal items.
On May 5, Heritage Auctions announced on its official website that a charity event, the Matthew Perry Estate Auction, will be held on June 5, 2026. The auction is being organized in partnership with the Matthew Perry Foundation. It will feature a wide range of items he collected, offering what organizers described as a “glimpse into his beloved sense of humor, and the passions and influences that shaped him.”
The sale will give fans an opportunity to contribute to a cause that was important to Matthew Perry. It is also expected to help honor his legacy of kindness, compassion, and commitment to supporting those in need.
The auction features items starting from $100, featuring a Motorola V8160 Digital Phone, to $1600, which includes a group of (13) Awards and Memorabilia. However, the most notable items in the auction will be the collection of 26 scripts of fan favorite episodes of FRIENDS.
This includes the episodes: The One With Ross’s Tan, The One Where Joey Speaks French, and The Last One. It also included the Six of One pilot script signed by the show’s main cast.
Other notable items from the show included a FRIENDS photo album titled ‘The One with the Last Supper,’ with a letter from Jenny in the back and Perry’s 1995 SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Television Comedy Series. Last, but not least, the replica of the iconic yellow peephole frame from FRIENDS.
But if you are not a fan of the sitcom, then you can have his Batman collection, including numerous action figures, a custom Batman pin-pong table, a Batman watch, and a Mattman framed 3D portrait with a Batman mask that he received from Jimmy Kimmel in 2016.
‘He Was Just Beyond Us All’
During an exclusive interview with The Times, Lisa Kudrow, who played Phoebe Buffay, discussed the show’s continued popularity. She mentioned that after Matthew Perry’s tragic passing, she watched the show again. In a more serious tone, she said, “Before, I only saw what I did wrong or could have done better. But for the first time, I truly appreciated just how great it was.”
She claimed that she did an “OK” job in the show, praising Jennifer Lawrence and Courtney Coxe for being “Amazing” throughout the show. Meanwhile, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer made her laugh throughout the 10 seasons of the sitcom. She added, “And then Matthew — he was just beyond us all.”
She added, “There was a genius at work. And whatever any of us do in the future, we will never experience something like that again.” The report also mentioned that despite ending in 2004, it is still one of the most-streamed series in the UK, and the remaining cast members still earn $20 million from repeat fees.
