In his post, Biden focused on the sacrifices that the soldiers and their families made.

He wrote on X, "Generation after generation, men and women put on the uniform knowing the risk — and went anyway knowing they might not come home. Knowing their families would carry that for the rest of their lives. To the families still carrying that weight — I see you. The pain doesn’t go away, but neither does the pride. Freedom has never been guaranteed. It has to be earned, defended, and sometimes paid for in the hardest way imaginable. Today on Memorial Day, we stop, we slow down, and we remember those who did."

"We honor them. We thank them. And we work hard to live up to what they died for. Keep the democracy they believed in worth believing in. That is the ultimate tribute for their sacrifice," he added.

Social Media Users React to Joe Biden's Post

The former president's Memorial Day post on X was met with both praise and severe criticism. While a few users believed his post was written using AI, others said that they missed "decency" in leadership.

Reacting to Biden's post, one user wrote, "America isn’t a democracy, it’s a constitutional republic. You and your administration have insulted every single American who’ve sacrificed for our country. I truly believe you committed treason with your inviting an invasion of our country. You deserve life in prison."

Another individual stated, "You were the WORSE President in our country's history! Never forget Afghanistan folks and this president!"

"The fallen deserve reverence, not a Memorial Day speech from the man who turned Afghanistan into a national humiliation. You do not get to wrap yourself in sacrifice after showing the world what weakness costs," an individual commented.

Wondering whether his post was written using AI, one user remarked, "Not to denigrate the words, but, based on his actions, I'm not convicted that Joe actually believes this, and I'm fairly certain that he didn't write it."

"The post was likely written by AI and signed with his autopen. He was one of the most anti-military presidents ever..," opined another.
