Kimberly Guilfoyle ‘Still Clinging’ to the Trump Family Despite Messy Split With Don Jr.

It seems that even after her unceremonious split from Donald Trump Jr (48) and being snubbed by the Trumps ever since then, Kimberly Guilfoyle (57) appears to still be fixated on them and appears eager to show she still shares a close bond with them.

According to Nicki Swift, Donald Trump (79) sent her swiftly away to Greece as the U.S. Ambassador shortly after her engagement ended with the President’s eldest son.

As if that wasn’t enough, during her White House visit last month to celebrate Greek Independence Day, the POTUS revealed a nickname for her. Trump was heard saying, “Kimberly Guilfoyle has been my friend for a long time. I love calling her 'Kimber-lay,' that's my little pet name, right?"

Furthermore, joking about her being tucked away in Greece, the President said, “But you are the greatest, and I hope you come back here in 12 years, or whenever the term ends.” After the video went viral on X, users reacted to the clip.

One of the users on X said, “She does not deserve this abuse. Imagine being in this circle and him making fun in old people ways, and you have to laugh.” A bewildered social media user questioned, “Her pet name is... Lay???"

Despite this mockery, Kimberly Guilfoyle appeared to take the comments in stride and also shared some glimpses of her Greek Independence Day celebration with Trump on her Instagram stories. She also added some Instagram posts that showed her standing alongside the President. However, this was not the first time that the former lawyer tried to cling to the Trump family despite her separation from Donald Trump Jr.

​A month after her breakup with Trump Jr went public, Kimberly made a birthday post for him on her social media handle in early January 2025, which only gave a sign of her still being fixated with her ex-fiancé.

This was just weeks after her engagement with the eldest Trump scion was called off, and she was quickly sent away to Greece by Donald Trump to work as a U.S. ambassador.

It felt like a desperate move on her part to show that she is still on good terms with her ex, and there might also be a patch-up on the cards. An insider had revealed to Page Six in January 2025, “Kimberly has every intention of maintaining a relationship with Trump Jr.”

However, a couple of months later, it became evident that the former The Five host was miserably attempting to maintain a one-sided relationship with her ex’s family as the Trumps snubbed her on her birthday in March 2025.

Kimberly threw a lavish 56th birthday bash, perhaps hoping that the Trump family, especially Trump Jr and his father, might show up. However, barring Barron Trump (20)’s close friend Bo Loudon, nobody from the Trump clan showed up at her birthday bash, nor did they wish her on social media.

​After Trump Jr moved on and became engaged to his current fiancée, Bettina Anderson, in December 2025, an insider revealed to People that Guilfoyle was left heartbroken. The source added that she was also disapproving of Anderson, who believed that the latter only cared about “the prestige and attention that comes with being connected to the Trump family.”
