Kim Kardashian Makes Rare Comments About Taylor Swift After Years of Drama

The feud between Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift became one of Hollywood’s most talked-about controversies after Kardashian found herself caught in the fallout between her then-husband, Kanye West, and Swift. The tension erupted over West’s controversial diss track, sparking a years-long public dispute that dominated headlines and social media.

Now, the American Horror Story actress spoke about the singer, years after the controversy, during the January 21, 2026, episode of her sister Khloé Kardashian’s podcast, Khloé in Wonder Land.

Kim was asked by her sister, “Do you think people would be surprised that you listen to Taylor Swift?” To this, The Kardashians star said, “I have some of her older songs in my playlist. I’ve always thought she’s like a super talented, great artist.”

Even though fans have not witnessed a formal patch-up or several reunions between the two, this might hint that there’s no “bad blood” between them anymore.

It all started after Kanye West released his infamous track Famous in February 2016, where he allegedly took a dig at Swift, saying that he “made that b---- famous.” This did not go down well with the Love Story hitmaker, and she took a dig at him during her Grammy acceptance speech.

This led to Kim being embroiled in the fiasco, where she alleged in June 2016 that Taylor already knew that West was about to use her reference in the track. In an interaction with GQ, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star said, “She totally approved that. She totally knew that that was coming out. She wanted to all of a sudden act like she didn't. I swear, my husband gets so much s--- for things [when] he really was doing proper protocol and even called to get it approved."

However, Taylor Swift’s team claimed that Kim was incorrect while talking about a phone call between the singer and her former husband. In a July 2016 episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, she also refused to take her mother, Kris Jenner’s, advice to patch up with Swift.

Instead, she released a video on Snapchat shortly after the episode where Taylor and Kanye could be heard having a conversation about the diss track. The video sounded as if the Lover singer was completely fine with the song, where she was reportedly heard saying, “It's like a compliment,” and the rapper was also heard thanking her for being so “cool about it.”

Taylor Swift’s representative instead hit back at the claim and revealed to People, “Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyrics, 'I made that b---- famous.” Almost a year later, in 2017, the singer also took a dig at the entire controversy in her song, “Look What You Made Me Do,” where she allegedly left some Easter eggs, which were her jibe at Kim and Kanye.

In March 2020, the entire call recording between Taylor and West was released online, which revealed that the latter confessed to the singer that he included a “mean” line for her in the song, which made her nervous.

While Kim is looking back at the past, Taylor is looking toward a very busy future. Rumors are swirling that the pop superstar and NFL star Travis Kelce are set to tie the knot on July 3, 2026, in New York City.
