Karoline Leavitt Called Out for Children’s Initiative Post While Trump’s Iran Warning Dominates Headlines
Karoline Leavitt has repeatedly faced criticism for her over-the-top defense of President Donald Trump. Most recently, internet users criticized her after she posted about a children’s initiative. It wasn’t the post itself, but the timing that left users online furious. Leavitt posted while Trump threatened that a “whole civilization” would die tonight, referring to Iran.
According to the Irish Star, Karoline Leavitt made a post on April 7 emphasizing the significance of financial education and money management. She also quoted President Donald Trump’s views on the same in a separate tweet. In the post, the White House Press Secretary championed National Financial Literacy Month along with an extensive President’s message.

In another tweet, she quoted Trump, insisting that the Trump accounts would benefit parents. He said, “We are also investing in the next generation through the creation of Trump Accounts, a historic initiative that provides $1,000 to every child born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028, placed into a long-term savings account that grows as your child grows.” However, while the initiative may seem beneficial, users quickly accused her of overlooking the latest updates in the continuing Iran conflict.

She faced further backlash online for disregarding the current hostilities against Iran during the President’s threats. An angered user wrote, “Are you for real??? No one cares. Trump is a maniac threatening annihilation of an entire civilization TONIGHT, Karoline???” Another user commented, “You sad little girl. Your obese demagogue is starting WW3. THERE WILL BE NO FUTURE.” A third user questioned, “The Middle East is about to be blown up thanks to Trump, and this is what you are focused on?”

One more user sarcastically commented, “Hey America, we're about to commit massive war crimes in Iran and target civilians and critical infrastructure, but remember your Trump account.” Nonetheless, there were several internet users who defended Trump’s move. A user suggested, “Everyone should set this up for their children. Your children will ask you why you didn't when their friends reap large benefits in the future.”

On April 7, Trump issued a stark warning to the Middle Eastern Nation on his Truth Social account that broke the internet. He proclaimed, “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will,” referring to his ultimate deadline for Iran to negotiate a deal and reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

According to CNBC, Trump later announced a ceasefire for two weeks on his social media. In a long post, he revealed that Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir urged him to "hold of’ the destructive force being sent tonight to Iran, and subject to the Islamic Republic of Iran agreeing to the COMPLETE, IMMEDIATE, and SAFE OPENING of the Strait of Hormuz, I agree to suspend the bombing and attack of Iran for a period of two weeks."
The decision came after more than five weeks of the US and Israel launching the war against Iran.
